SF Beer Week : Opening Gala & Calendar of Events
The SF Beer Week Opening Gala is the largest, most anticipated, and prestigious annual gathering of the Northern California craft beer community. It’s the kick-off party for SF Beer Week, commencing a multi-day marathon of beer dinners, tastings, tap takeovers and educational events that occur all over the Bay Area.

Giants FanFest 2018 – Street Closure

Saturday, February 10: The 25th annual KNBR 680 Giants FanFest will take place between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. at AT&T Park. An attendance of more than 30,000 participants is expected throughout the day.

Street Closure
A street closure of Terry Francois between 3rd and South streets will be required between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Temporary taxi stands for the event will be in place at the following locations:
- East side of 2nd Street between King and Townsend streets, seven spaces
- West side of 2nd street between King and Townsend streets, two spaces
- West side of 2nd street between Townsend and Brannan streets, five spaces
- West side of 3rd street between King and Townsend streets, five spaces
Chinese New Year Flower Fair – Street Closures
Saturday & Sunday, various times
Grant Avenue in Chinatown
On the weekend before Chinese New Year Day, the Chinese Flower Market Fair in Chinatown will kick off the festivities for Lunar year 4716, better known as the Year of the Dog. This two-day event is a great place to come to purchase fresh flowers, fruits, and candies. Both days will also feature acrobats, folk dancers and opera as part of the celebration.
The following street closures will be required from 11 p.m., Friday, February 9 to 11 p.m., Sunday, February 11:
- Grant Avenue between Clay Street and Broadway
- Pacific Avenue between Columbus Avenue and Stockton Street
- Jackson Street between Stockton Street and Kearny Street
- Washington Street between Stockton Street and Kearny Street
- Intersections: Jackson Street at Grant Avenue, Washington Street at Grant Avenue and Pacific Avenue at Grant Avenue
- All alleys within the boundaries of the larger closure will also be closed
