Rise for Climate, Jobs and Justice March
Saturday, 10 a.m. until approximately 5:30 p.m.

Street Closure : Dr Carlton B Goodlett Place from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Transit Only : Mission Street will be converted to a transit only street during the march.
Thousands are expected to gather at the Embarcadero Plaza this Saturday for the largest climate march in the history of the West Coast during the Rise for Climate, Jobs and Justice March. Interested in moving society away from fossil-fuel use and toward a transition to renewable energy, the march will gather at 10 a.m. before proceeding down Market Street towards the Civic Center where live music and a resource fair will take place.
Red Bull Bay Climb
Saturday, September 8: The 2nd Red Bull Bay Climb bicycle event will take place in Potrero Hill. The event will take place on De Haro Street from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event consists of a number of races in different categories over the course of the day – all taking advantage of San Francisco’s hilliness by having the races go uphill.

- De Haro Street between 17th and 22nd streets
- Mariposa Street between Rhode Island and Carolina streets

- Southern Heights Avenue between Carolina and Rhode Island streets
- 20th Street between Rhode Island and Carolina streets

Ghirardelli Chocolate Festival
Saturday and Sunday, Noon to 5 p.m.

Saturday, September 8 and Sunday, September 9: The annual Ghirardelli Chocolate Festival will be held in Ghirardelli Square, from noon to 5 p.m. each day. An attendance of 20,000 is expected for both days.

Giant Race Half Marathon
Sunday, September 9: The 9th annual San Francisco Giant Race will take place. The Half Marathon, 10K and 5K races will take place along The Embarcadero, Fisherman’s Wharf and the Marina. The Half Marathon and 10K races will start at 7 a.m. The 5K race will start at 10:50 a.m.

The race will start south of AT&T Park, continue north on The Embarcadero, west along Fisherman’s Wharf, through Fort Mason and the Presidio, returning along the same route to conclude inside AT&T Park.

The following street closures will be required from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.:
- Fillmore Street between Fulton Street and Geary Boulevard
- Fulton Street between Fillmore and Lyon streets
- Baker Street between McAllister and Grove streets
- Grove Street between Baker Street and Central Avenue
- Central Avenue between Grove and Hayes streets
- O’Farrell Street between Fillmore and Steiner streets
- Intersections: Grove Street at Central Avenue, Lyon and Baker streets; Fulton Street at Baker, Broderick, Scott, Pierce and Fillmore streets; Fillmore Street at Ellis and O’Farrell streets
Cross traffic will be allowed on Eddy and McAllister streets at Fillmore Street as well as on Divisadero Street at Fulton Street.
It’s time for another car-free Sunday in the city and this time the Sunday Streets action comes to the Western Addition. Whether you break out your best walking shoes, hop on your bike, grab your roller skates or however you prefer to get around town, there will be lots of fun to be had along the Sunday Streets route that begins at Fell and Baker streets before turning down Fulton to Fillmore where the activity continues north up to Geary Boulevard. Each area will feature its own unique experiences while connecting the neighborhood community through live music, family fun, shopping and more.
