To all,
I want to thank you for another year of hard work and progress. I’m probably not surprising anyone when I say that 2018 had its challenges. We started off the year with some big changes. We acquired Luxor Cab and added some new faces to our company. We also had to move out of 1200 Mississippi which has not been easy on any of us. We’ve also been battling the SFMTA and their new regulations.
I am very hopeful about 2019. Regardless of what the SFMTA does we will be just fine as a company financially and operationally.
Once the new AutoCab system is ready we’ll be able to fully merge all of our operations including dispatching, cashiering, and accounting. The next step will be to work on converting all of our cabs to the Yellow brand.
We are also going to be moving into our new property. The improvements are coming along slowly. We will likely move into modular trailers in the beginning of the year and our offices will be ready towards the end of the year. We’ll be able to move the cabs and drivers over in the first quarter of next year as well.
Finally, we are making a big sales push next year which no cab company in San Francisco has ever done in the past. We’ve identified some of the biggest companies and venues in SF to try to partner with. Our goal is to add $2 million in fares for the drivers next year through our sales efforts.
All of this is going to do us no good unless we focus on being a high quality company. We will be offering all of our drivers coaching on meeting and exceeding our customers expectations so be ready to receive an invite to these coaching sessions soon.
2019 is going to be the year for Yellow Cab and I can’t wait to see where we are at the end!
Sincerely,
Chris Sweis
