Potrero Hill Festival

Saturday, Oct. 16: The annual Potrero Hill Festival will take place in the Potrero Hill neighborhood from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on 20th Street between Wisconsin and Missouri streets. An attendance of 1,500 is expected. For event details visit potrerofestival.com.

The following street closures will be required from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.:

  • 20th Street between Wisconsin and Missouri streets
  • Connecticut Street between 19th Street and southerly terminal
  • Missouri Street between 19th and 20th streets
  • Intersection:  Connecticut and Missouri streets at 20th Street

Event at Golden Gate Park

Saturday, Oct. 16: There is an event at the DeYoung Museum that will require a street closure of Hagiwara Tea Garden and Music Concourse drives from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday.

Sunday Streets / Phoenix Day Block Party

Sunday, Oct. 17: San Francisco’s beloved Sunday Streets will return with a bigger than ever program that will be spread out across the City, featuring historic routes and pop-ups. The event will include a “cross city connector bike ride” and dozens of neighbor-hosted block parties citywide. Sunday Streets is free and open to the public. The following street closures will be required from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.:

  • Valencia Street between 16th and 24th streets
  • 23rd Street between San Jose Avenue and Bartlett Street
  • Closure of Intersections at Valencia Street: 17th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, Clarion, Sycamore, Liberty and Hills streets
(Note: Access to 17th Street will not be allowed except police and emergency vehicles)
  • Ellis Street between Larkin and Taylor streets
  • Larkin Street between Grove and Eddy streets
  • Golden Gate Avenue between Polk and Jones streets
  • Closure of Intersections at Larkin Street: Golden Gate Avenue, Turk and Ellis streets
  • Grant Avenue between Broadway and California Street (all intersections will remain open)
The following street closures will be required from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.:
  • Onondaga Avenue between Mission Street and Alemany Boulevard
  • London Street between Geneva and Amazon avenues
  • Galvez Avenue between 3rd and Newhall streets
  • Oakdale Avenue between 3rd and Lane streets
  • Lane Street between Underwood and Van Dyke avenues
  • Lane Street between 3rd Street and Armstrong Avenue
  • Yosemite Avenue between Mendell and 3rd streets

San Francisco Giants Baseball Playoff Games

Thursday, Oct. 14: The San Francisco Giants’ playoff game against the Los Angeles Dodgers will take place at the ballpark. The game will start at 6:07 p.m. on Thursday.

Saturday, Oct. 16 and Sunday, Oct. 17: Depends on the result of the playoff game on Thursday, Oct. 14, there might be playoff games on Saturday and Sunday with start time to be determined.

Street Closures

To accommodate events that will take place at the ballpark, the following street closures will be enforced:

  • Two and a half hours before the opening pitch, the SFMTA will close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic. King Street will reopen after first pitch until the seventh inning.
  • From the seventh inning until post-game traffic dies down, the SFMTA will again close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic in order to reduce congestion on city streets.
  • Additionally, the northbound portion of the 4th Street Bridge (Peter R. Maloney Bridge) will be closed to all traffic except Muni, taxis and bicycles during the post-game period.
Taxi Stands
  • 2nd Street, west side, between Brannan and King Streets
  • 2nd Street, east side, between Townsend and King Streets
  • 3rd Street, east side, north of King Street
Friday, Oct. 15 through Friday, Oct. 22: There will be events and basketball games at the Chase Center. Listed below are times of each event with time when door will open:
  • Friday, Oct. 15: The Warriors will play their third pre-season game against the Portland Trail Blazers. Game will start at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 16 and Sunday, Oct. 17: Phish, an American Rock Band will perform two concerts at the Chase Center.
    • The first concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 16. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
    • The second concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 16. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 20: Dan+Shay, The (Arena) Tour, from Nashville, will perform at the Chase Center. Event will start at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

Thursday, Oct. 21: The Warriors will play against the LA Clippers. Game will start at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

Street Closures

To accommodate events that will take place at the arena, the following street closures will be enforced two hours before and one hour after each event:

  • 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  • Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  • Northbound 3rd Street between 16th Street and Warriors Way will also be closed approximately 30 minutes before an event ends and 45 minutes after an event ends.
  • Only local access will be allowed on Northbound Illinois Street between Mariposa and 16th streets.
Taxi Stands
  • There is one taxi stand located on southbound Terry Francois Boulevard.
  • Ramp Taxis should use the loading zone on eastbound Warriors Way (formerly South Street) at Bridgeview Way.
