Nihonmachi Street Fair

Saturday, Aug. 5 and Sunday, Aug. 6: The 49th annual Nihonmachi Street Fair will take place in and around Japantown from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.

The following street closure will be required from 5 a.m., Saturday to 9 p.m., Sunday:

  • Post Street between Laguna and Fillmore streets
  • Webster Street between Sutter Street and Geary Boulevard

Events at Chase Center

Thursday, Aug. 3: Santa Fe Klan will perform at Chase Center. Performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

*Saturday, Aug. 5: Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live Glow Party (Day 1, Afternoon) will perform at Chase Center. Performance will begin at 12 p.m. Doors will open at 11 a.m.

*Saturday, Aug. 5: Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live Glow Party (Day 1, Night)will perform at Chase Center. Performance will begin at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

*Sunday, Aug. 6: Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live Glow Party (Day 2) will perform at Chase Center. Performance will begin at 2:30 p.m. Doors will open at 1:30 p.m.

Monday, Aug. 7: Paramore in North America will perform at Chase Center. Performance will begin at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

Street Closures

To accommodate events that will take place at the arena, the following street closures will be enforced two hours before and one hour after each event:

  • 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  • Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  • Northbound 3rd Street between 16th Street and Warriors Way will also be closed approximately 30 minutes before and 45 minutes after an event.
  • Only local access will be allowed on Northbound Illinois Street between Mariposa and 16th streets.

Taxi Stands

There is one taxi stand located on southbound Terry Francois Boulevard.
Ramp Taxis should use the loading zone on eastbound Warriors Way at Bridgeview Way.

Ping Yuen Summer Unity Block Party

Saturday, Aug. 5: The Ping Yuen Summer Unity Block Party will take place in Chinatown on Pacific Avenue between Grant Avenue and Stockton Street. Event hours are from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

To facilitate the event, Pacific Avenue will be closed between Grant Avenue and Stockton Street from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday.

Giants Baseball Games

Thursday, Aug. 3: The San Francisco Giants will play one home game at the ballpark. Listed below is the start time for the game that SF Giants to play:
  • One game against the Arizona Diamondbacks: 1) Thursday, Aug. 3.

Street Closures

To accommodate events that will take place at the ballpark, the following street closures will be enforced:

  • Two and a half hours before the opening pitch, the SFMTA will close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic. King Street will reopen after first pitch until the seventh inning.
  • From the seventh inning until post-game traffic dies down, the SFMTA will again close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic in order to reduce congestion on city streets.
  • Additionally, the northbound portion of the 4th Street Bridge (Peter R. Maloney Bridge) will be closed to all traffic except Muni, taxis and bicycles during the post-game period.

      • 2nd Street, west side, between Brannan and King Streets
      • 2nd Street, east side, between Townsend and King Streets
      • 3rd Street, east side, north of King Street

Soccer Games at The Ball Park

Saturday, Aug. 5: LaLiga, Spain’s professional soccer league, will showcase their top division clubs with friendly matches across North America. There will be two of these games to take place at the ballpark. An attendance of 15,000 is expected. Listed below are start times for these games:
  • Real Betis vs. Real Sociedad will start at 4 p.m.
  • Atlético de Madrid vs. Sevilla FC will start 7 p.m.
