Dreamforce Convention

Effective through Sunday, Sept 17: A street closure of Howard Street between 3rd and 4th streets will be required for the Dreamforce Convention.

Tuesday, Sept. 12 through Thursday, Sept 14: The Salesforce Corporation will be holding its yearly Dreamforce Convention at the Moscone Center. Conference hours will be from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day. Registration will begin at 6 a.m., Monday, Sept. 11. An attendance of approximately 30,000 to 35,000 is expected at Moscone Center North, South and West. For more event details, visit https://www.salesforce.com/dreamforce/.

Significant traffic congestion is anticipated in and around Moscone Center between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily for the duration of the closure, particularly on streets immediately east of 3rd Street and on 4th Street between Market and Howard streets during mornings and afternoons. Travelers are encouraged to take public transportation or use alternate routes. There will be heavy pedestrian traffic in the area.

Howard Street traffic will be detoured via southbound 2nd Street to Harrison Street or via New Montgomery Street to Hawthorne Street to either Folsom or Harrison streets.

In addition to the full closure of Howard Street between 3rd and 4th streets, there will be lane closures on Folsom, Howard, 3rd and 4th streets.

There will be no impact on Muni service.

There will be temporary taxi stands for pick up and drop off only:

  • Eastside of Third Street (northbound) between Howard and Minna streets
  • Southside of Howard Street (westbound) between 4th and 5th streets

Events at Chase Center

Friday, Sept. 8: Lionel Richie and Earth, Wind & Fire will play at Chase Center beginning at 6:30 pm.

Street Closures
To accommodate events that will take place at the arena, the following street closures will be enforced two hours before and one hour after each event:

  • 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  • Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  • Northbound 3rd Street between 16th Street and Warriors Way will also be closed approximately 30 minutes before and 45 minutes after an event.
  • Only local access will be allowed on Northbound Illinois Street between Mariposa and 16th streets.

No Parking Zone
To facilitate loading and pick up for Muni customers and patrons, NO PARKING will be in effect at these locations during events:

  • 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  • Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  • Between the 500 and 700 blocks of Terry Francois Boulevard (TFB)

Taxi Stands
There is one taxi stand located on southbound Terry Francois Boulevard.
Ramp Taxis should use the loading zone on eastbound Warriors Way at Bridgeview Way.

Giants Home Baseball Games:

Friday, Sept. 8 to Tuesday, Sept. 12: The San Francisco Giants will play six home games at the ballpark. Listed below are start times for these games and the SF Giants to play:

  • Three games against the Colorado Rockies: 1) 7:15 p.m, Friday, Sept. 8; 2) 6:05 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9; 3) 1:05 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 10.
  • Three games against the Cleveland Guardians: 1) 6:45 p.m., Monday, Sept. 11; 2) 6:45 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 12; 3) 12:45 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 13.

Street Closures

To accommodate events that will take place at the ballpark, the following street closures will be enforced:

  • Two and a half hours before the opening pitch, the SFMTA will close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic. King Street will reopen after first pitch until the seventh inning.
  • From the seventh inning until post-game traffic dies down, the SFMTA will again close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic in order to reduce congestion on city streets.
  • Additionally, the northbound portion of the 4th Street Bridge (Peter R. Maloney Bridge) will be closed to all traffic except Muni, taxis and bicycles during the post-game period.

  • 2nd Street, west side, between Brannan and King Streets
  • 2nd Street, east side, between Townsend and King Streets
  • 3rd Street, east side, north of King Street

Bhangra and Beats Night Market

Friday, Sept. 8th: A dance party and social event will take place in the vicinity of Battery and Clay streets from 5 to 10 p.m. as part of Downtown Revitalization activities. For more details, visit bhangraandbeats.com.

The following street closures will be required from noon to midnight on Friday, Sept. 8th:

  • Battery St from Jackson St to California St
  • Clay St from Sansome St to Front St
  • Merchant St from Sansome St to Battery St
  • Halleck St from Sansome St to Front St
  • Grant Avenue between California Street and Broadway

Bike MS: Waves to Wine Race

Saturday, Sept. 9: The Bike MS: Waves to Wine bike race to raise money for Multiple sclerosis treatment will depart from Battery Street before going over the Golden Gate Bridge.

The following street closure will take place from 2:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

  • Battery St from Greenwich St to Union St

Fiesta on the Hill

Sunday, Sept. 10: BHNC will hold its Fiesta on the Hill in the Bernal Heights neighborhood on Cortland Avenue between Bocana Street and Folsom Street. The community event will host seven blocks of food vendors, arts and crafts and local goods and services and will be open until 7:00 p.m.

The following street closures will take place from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

  • Cortland Ave from Bocana St to Folsom St
  • Moultrie St from Eugenia Ave to Cortland Ave
  • Ellsworth St from Eugenia Ave to Cortland Ave
  • Anderson St from Eugenia Ave to Jarboe
