How Weird Street Faire

Saturday, Oct. 14: The 24th annual How Weird Street Faire will be held from noon to 8 p.m. on Howard and 2nd streets. Heavy pedestrian traffic is expected in the area. Event participants are encouraged to take public transportation to the event. For event details visit https://howweird.org.

The following street closures will be required from 6 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 14 to 2 a.m., Sunday Oct. 15:

  • Howard Street between 1st and New Montgomery streets
  • 2nd Street between Folsom and Mission streets
  • Minna Street between 1st and New Montgomery streets
  • Natoma Street between 1st and New Montgomery streets
  • Tehama Street between 1st and New Montgomery streets
  • Intersection(s) closed: Howard, Tehama, Minna and Natoma Streets at 2nd Street.

Bearrison Street Fair

Saturday, Oct. 14: The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and the Bears of San Francisco will be holding the second annual Bearrison Street Fair from noon to 6 p.m. The event will be held primarily on Harrison Street between 10th and 13th streets. The following street closures will take effect from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday:

  • Harrison Street between 10th and 13th streets
  • 11th Street between Folsom and Division streets
  • 12th Street between Bernice and Harrison streets

Hyde St – Demonstration Gardens

Saturday, Oct. 14: There will be a closure of Hyde Street between Turk and Eddy streets from 12:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for a community event. For more details, see http.//www.humanorigins.org/demonstration-gardens.

Roadway Shared Space on Larkin

Saturday, Oct. 14: A recurring Roadway Shared Spaces activation will take place on Larkin Street from Eddy to O’Farrell Streets from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. This activation takes place on the second Saturday of each month, through December 9, 2023. For more information, see https://www.tlmpa.org/.
The following streets will be under required closure from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.:
  • Larkin Street between Eddy and O’Farrell Streets
  • Intersections: Larkin Street at Willow and Olive Streets (intersection of Larkin and Ellis to remain open and unobstructed)

Sunday Streets Excelsior

Sunday, Oct. 15: A Sunday Streets event will be held in the Excelsior neighborhood from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is put on by Livable City with sponsorship and support from SFMTA and other City agencies to promote active lifestyles and bicycle and pedestrian activities. These events close streets to automobile traffic and turn them over for bicycle and pedestrian activities. For more information, see https://www.sundaystreetssf.com/excelsior/.
The following streets will be closed to automobiles from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.:
  • Mission Street between Theresa Street and Geneva Avenue
  • Cotter Street, Francis Street, Santa Rosa Avenue, Onondaga Avenue, and Seneca Avenue between Mission Street and Alemany Boulevard
  • Ocean Avenue between Persia Avenue and Mission Street
The following Intersections will be closed from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.:
  • Amazon Avenue at Mission Street
  • Seneca Avenue at Mission Street
  • Italy Avenue at Mission Street (local access for Safeway parking lot only)
  • France Avenue at Mission Street
  • Onondaga Avenue at Mission Street
  • Russia Avenue at Mission Street
  • Leo Street at Mission Street
  • Ruth Street at Mission Street
  • Persia Avenue at Mission Street
  • San Juan Avenue at Mission Street

Lesbians Who Tech Conference 2023

Monday, Oct. 16 through Saturday, Oct. 21: The 10thAnnual Lesbians Who Tech & Allies Summit event takes place in the Castro Theatre and on Castro Street from Wednesday, Oct. 18 to Friday, Oct. 20, with street closures beginning on Monday, October 16. Effective from 12:01 a.m., Monday, Oct. 16 through 9:30 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 21, Castro Street between Market and 19th streets is closed. The intersection of Castro and 18th streets remains open.

Events at Chase Center

Friday, Oct. 6 through Wednesday Oct. 11: There will be multiple events at the Chase Center:
  • Friday, Oct. 13: $uicideboy$ will perform in concert beginning at 6:30 p.m., doors open at 5:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 14 and Sunday October 15: P!NK will perform in concert both nights at 7:30 p.m., doors open at 6:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 18: The Golden State Warriors will play a pre-season game against the Sacramento Kings beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Street Closures
To accommodate events that will take place at the arena, the following street closures will be enforced two hours before and one hour after each event:
  • 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  • Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  • Northbound 3rd Street between 16th Street and Warriors Way will also be closed approximately 30 minutes before and 45 minutes after an event.
  • Only local access will be allowed on Northbound Illinois Street between Mariposa and 16thstreets.
Taxi Stands
There is one taxi stand located on southbound Terry Francois Boulevard.
Ramp Taxis should use the loading zone on eastbound Warriors Way at Bridgeview Way.
