APEC Conference (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation)
Saturday, Nov. 11 through Sunday, November 19: San Francisco will host the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) conference from Nov. 11 to 17, one of the largest gatherings of global leaders.
- Most APEC activities will take place in the South of Market and Nob Hill neighborhoods. Due to the scale of the gathering, APEC may have some impacts on travel in other areas of San Francisco as well.The bulk of the travel and transit impacts will take place from Nov. 13-19.Street closures are expected to start Monday, Nov. 13 – Sunday, Nov. 19. These closures will result in significant traffic impacts:
- People should expect a range of street impacts in and around the U.S. Secret Service security zones (Vehicle Exclusion Zones). People will be allowed into these zones to access their homes, work, make deliveries and shop, with appropriate screening.
- People traveling in San Francisco should expect congestion downtown, traffic delays, transit reroutes, delays and crowding on Muni and SF Paratransit during APEC. Additional events may arise with little notice and may impact Muni routes, traffic, vehicle and pedestrian access.
Events at Chase Center
Saturday, Nov. 11 through Tuesday Nov. 14: The Golden State Warriors will play two basketball games at the Chase Center. Listed below are the start times for these games.
- Saturday, Nov. 11: Golden State Warriors versus the Cleveland Cavaliers beginning at 5:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, Nov. 14: Golden State Warriors versus the Minnesota Timberwolves beginning at 7 p.m.
Taxi Stands
There is one taxi stand located on southbound Terry Francois Boulevard. Ramp Taxis should use the loading zone on eastbound Warriors Way at Bridgeview Way.
Shared Spaces – Larkin
Saturday, Nov. 11: The Larkin Shared Spaces provides outdoor space for a community festival with music, arts, and games. This event occurs on the second Saturday of each month through the end of 2023.
Larkin Street between Eddy and O’Farrell will be closed from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11.
