San Francisco Giants Baseball Games

Thursday, April 18 through Wednesday, April 24: The San Francisco Giants will play seven home games at the ballpark. Listed below are start times for these games:
- Four games against the Arizona Diamondbacks: 1) 6:45 p.m., Thursday, April 18; 2) 7:15 p.m., Friday, April 19; 3) 1:05 p.m., Saturday, April 20; and 4) 1:05 p.m., Sunday, April 21.
- Three games against the New York Mets: 1) 6:45 p.m., Monday, April 22; 2) 6:45 p.m., Tuesday, April 23; and 3) 12:45 p.m., Wednesday, April 24.
Street Closures
To accommodate events that will take place at the ballpark, the following street closures will be enforced:
- Two and a half hours before the opening pitch, the SFMTA will close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic. King Street will reopen after first pitch until the seventh inning.
- From the seventh inning until post-game traffic dies down, the SFMTA will again close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic in order to reduce congestion on city streets.
- Additionally, the northbound portion of the 4th Street Bridge (Peter R. Maloney Bridge) will be closed to all traffic except Muni, taxis and bicycles during the post-game period.
Taxi Stands- 2nd Street, west side, between Brannan and King Streets
- 2nd Street, east side, between Townsend and King Streets
- 3rd Street, west side, north of King Street
Cherry Blossom Festival and Grand Parade
Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21: The 57th Annual Cherry Blossom Festival will be held. The festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. For event details visit www.sfcherryblossom.org.
The following street closures will be required:
- From 4 a.m., Saturday, April 20 to 11 p.m., Sunday, April 21:
- Post Street between Laguna and Fillmore streets
- Webster Street between Geary Boulevard and Sutter Street
- Intersection: Webster Street at Post Street
- From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, April 21:
- Post Street between Fillmore and Steiner streets
The parade units will gather at Civic Center at 10 a.m. on Sunday for the Cherry Blossom Grand Parade. The parade will begin at 1 p.m. and follow a route from Polk and McAllister streets, north on Polk Street and west on Post Street to disband between Fillmore and Steiner streets.
All intersections along the parade route will remain open except when the parade passes. Streets will re-open as soon as possible after the parade passes and the streets have been cleaned.
Temporary Tax Stand: There is one located at 1574-1598 Geary Boulevard.
San Francisco Lowriders Council Tribute to Selena
On Saturday, April 20, the San Francisco Lowrider Council will pay tribute to Selena with a lowrider cruise along Mission Street and through the local area. Lowriders will gather at 4 p.m. on Mission Street between Cesar Chavez and 22nd Street. Some transit corridors may become blocked for temporary periods of time.
There is no planned street closure. Temporary transit detour and traffic congestion should be expected. Travelers to the area should allow extra travel time.
