Trans March

Friday, June 28: The 20th annual Trans March will take place. Prior to the march, there will be a brunch and rally in Dolores Park. The march will start at 6 p.m. at Dolores and 18th streets and culminate at Turk and Taylor streets. For more details, visit www.transmarch.org.

The following street closures will be required from 6 to 9 p.m., Friday:

  • Taylor Street between Turk and Eddy streets
  • Turk Street between Mason and Taylor streets

Dyke March

Saturday, June 29: The annual SF Dyke March will begin at 5 p.m. and is expected to proceed from Dolores Street along 18th Street to Valencia Street to 16th Street, Market Street, Castro Street, back onto 18th Street and end at Dolores Park. There is no plan of street closures for the march.

San Francisco Pride Celebration

Saturday, June 29 and Sunday, June 30: From noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, the annual San Francisco Pride Celebration will be held at the Civic Center Plaza. For details on weekend festivities, visit www.sfpride.org.

  • Larkin Street between McAllister and Market streets
  • Grove Street (westbound traffic lanes only) between Larkin and Hyde streets

All northbound traffic coming from 9th Street will be directed to use Hayes Street to either Van Ness Avenue or Franklin Street. Southbound traffic on Polk Street should use Golden Gate Avenue to Hyde Street until Saturday evening when both Hyde Street and Golden Gate Avenue will be closed.

Temporary Taxi Stands

FOR SECURITY REASONS ALL TAXI DRIVERS MUST STAY WITH THEIR VEHICLE WHILE PARKED IN THE TEMPORARY TAXI STANDS.

From 10 a.m., Saturday, June 29 through 9 p.m., Sunday, June 30, there will be limited number of spaces at these locations:

  • 490 Turk Street, north side, two spots
  • 472 Turk Street, north side, two spots
  • Van Ness Avenue, east side, between Grove and McAllister street (in front of City Hall)

San Francisco Pride Parade

Sunday, June 30: The annual San Francisco Pride Parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. from the lower Market Street formation area. The parade will commence at Market and Beale streets and proceed west on Market Street to Hyde and 8th streets, where it will disband on 8th Street.

At 9 a.m. Market Street from Steuart Street to Van Ness Avenue will be closed for the parade. All intersections will be closed to cross traffic during the parade, which is scheduled to end at approximately 5 p.m. As each section of Market Street is cleaned by the San Francisco Public Works personnel, it will be reopened.

The following streets comprise the formation area will be closed beginning at 6 a.m. Traffic on cross streets will be allowed to continue, subject to delays, except when parade units are actually crossing the intersections:

  • Beale Street from Market to Folsom streets
  • Main Street from Market to Folsom streets
  • Spear Street from Market to Folsom streets
  • Steuart Street from Market to Folsom streets
  • Market Street from Beale to Steuart streets

Ministerio Festival Celebration

Saturday, June 29: Ministeria Restauracion el Alfarero will host a community event in the Portola Neighborhood.

A street closure of San Bruno Avenue between Bacon and Burrows streets will be in place from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday

Muni routes 8 Bayshore and 9 San Bruno will be impacted.

Far Out Fest

Saturday, June 29: The Far Out Fest music festival will take place in the Outer Richmond District. Event hours will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more details, visit https://www.faroutfestsf.com/.

A street closure of Balboa Street between 35th and 36th avenues will be in place from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday.

Excelsior Block Party

Sunday, June 30: The Excelsior Action Group will host a community event from noon to 5 p.m.

A street closure of Excelsior Avenue between Mission and Paris streets will be in place from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.

San Francisco Giants Baseball Games

  • Thursday, June 27 through Sunday, June 30: The San Francisco Giants will play four home games at the ballpark. Listed below are start times for these games:

    • One game against the Chicago Cubs: 1) 12:45 p.m., Thursday, June 27.
    • Three games against the Los Angeles Dodgers: 1) 7:15 p.m., Friday, June 28; 2) 4:15 p.m., Saturday, June 29; and 3) 1:05 p.m., Sunday, June 30.

    Street Closures

    To accommodate events that will take place at the ballpark, the following street closures will be enforced:

    • Two and a half hours before the opening pitch, the SFMTA will close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic. King Street will reopen after first pitch until the seventh inning.
    • From the seventh inning until post-game traffic dies down, the SFMTA will again close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic in order to reduce congestion on city streets.
    • Additionally, the northbound portion of the 4th Street Bridge (Peter R. Maloney Bridge) will be closed to all traffic except Muni, taxis and bicycles during the post-game period.

    • 2nd Street, west side, between Brannan and King Streets
    • 2nd Street, east side, between Townsend and King Streets
    • 3rd Street, west side, north of King Street
