SFIACF- Olympic Club Cornhole Tournament
Friday, Oct. 25: Two athletic rivals for over 100 years are bringing their competition to the Cornhole lanes of North Beach for an afternoon of laughter, fundraising, and community building. The SFIAC Foundation and the Olympic Foundation are co-producing the second cornhole tournament which involves teams of four throwing bean bags into wooden targets in a double elimination tournament. The fundraiser will benefit both organizations and be hosted in front of the SFIAC for all to enjoy. Stockton Street between Union and Filbert streets will be closed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday.
St. Jude Pilgrimage
Saturday, Oct. 26: The 19 th Annual Pilgrimage of St. Jude Thaddeus is a yearly procession of Catholic faithful. This year’s procession will be from St. Monica Church to St. Dominic Church, home of the Shrine of Saint Jude. The procession will start at 10:30 a.m. from 24th Avenue and Geary Boulevard, north on 24th Avenue, right turn onto Clement Street, left turn at 11th Avenue, right turn at California Street and right turn onto Steiner Street where procession will disband. There is no planned street closure.
Events at Chase Center
- Sunday, Oct. 27: The Warriors will play their home opener game against the Los Angeles Clippers. Game will start at 5:30 p.m. Doors will open at 4 p.m.
- Tuesday, Oct. 29: The Warriors will play their first home game against the New Orleans Pelicans. Game will start at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, Oct. 30: The Warriors will play their second home game against the New Orleans Pelicans. Game will start at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
To accommodate events that will take place at the arena, the following street closures will be enforced two hours before and one hour after each event:
- 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
- Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
- Northbound 3rd Street between 16th Street and Warriors Way will also be closed approximately 30 minutes before and 45 minutes after an event.
- Only local access will be allowed on Northbound Illinois Street between Mariposa and 16th streets.
There is one taxi stand located on southbound Terry Francois Boulevard.
Ramp Taxis should use the loading zone on eastbound Warriors Way at Bridgeview Way.
