U.S. Navy Fleet Week

Monday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 12: Fleet Week will be held along Fisherman’s Wharf, the Marina District and Piers 30, 32 & 35 on The Embarcadero.

Street Closures

Jefferson Street between Hyde Street and westerly terminus will be closed from 6 a.m., Friday, Oct. 9 to 10 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 11.

Taxi Stands

Taxi stands to allow taxis to service the event are at the following locations:

  • Beach and Hyde streets
  • Pier 39

Fleet Week Navy Concert

Thursday, Oct. 8: Fleet Week Navy Band will perform in the Jane Warner Plaza. Performance will take place from 5 to 6 p.m.

The following closure will be required from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 1

  • 17th Street between Hartford and Castro streets

Lillie Coit’s Grand Opening

Thursday, Oct. 8 through Sunday, Oct. 11: Grand opening of Lillie Coit’s restaurant will take place.

The following street closure will be required from midnight, Thursday, Oct. 8 to 10 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 11:

  • Powell Street between Columbus Avenue and Union Street.

Chinatown Night Market*

Friday, Oct. 9: The monthly night market will take place in Chinatown. This is an event that takes place on the second Friday of each month, from 5:30 to 9 p.m.

The following street closures will be required from 1 to 11:59 p.m., Friday, Oct. 9:

  • Grant Avenue between California Street and Pacific Avenue
  • Commercial Street between Kearny Street and Grant Avenue
  • Intersection: Grant Avenue and Commercial Street
All other intersections will remain open.

Event at Chase Center

Friday, Oct. 9 through Sunday, Oct. 11: There will be a basketball games and concert performances taking place at the Chase Center:
  • Friday, Oct. 9: Performance by the Rod Wave will take place. The show will start at 8 p.m. Doors will open at 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 10: The Warriors will play their second pre-season game against the Sacramento Kings. Game will start at 5:30 p.m. Doors will open at 4 p.m.
  • Sunday, Oct. 11: Concert performance by the Chayanne will take place. The show will start at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

Street Closures

To accommodate events that will take place at the arena, the following street closures will be enforced two hours before and one hour after each event:

  1. 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  2. Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  3. Northbound 3rd Street between 16th Street and Warriors Way will also be closed approximately 30 minutes before and 45 minutes after the event.

Only local access will be allowed on Northbound Illinois Street between Mariposa and 16th streets.

 

Taxi Stands
  • There is one taxi stand located on southbound Terry Francois Boulevard.
  • Ramp Taxis should use the loading zone on eastbound Warriors Way at Bridgeview Way.

Larkin Street Roadway Shared Space

Saturday, Oct. 10: The Tenderloin Lower Polk Merchants and Property Owners Association will host their monthly Roadway Shared Space on Larkin Street.

Larkin Street between Eddy and O’Farrell streets will be closed from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 10.

These closures will occur on the second Saturday of every month through Saturday, Dec. 12, 2026.

Double Ten Celebration

Saturday, Oct. 10: The annual Double Ten celebration will take place in Chinatown, with a flag raising in St. Mary’s Square; a parade and a closure on Grant Avenue.

Grant Avenue between Pacific Avenue and Broadway will be closed from 1 to 5 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 10.

San Francisco Lowrider Cold Frisco Nights

On Saturday, Oct. 10: The San Francisco Lowrider Council will host a lowrider cruise along Mission Street and through the local area. Lowriders will gather on Mission Street between Cesar Chavez and 22nd Street between 2 and 10 p.m. Some transit corridors may become blocked for temporary periods of time.

There is no planned street closure. Temporary transit detour and traffic congestion should be expected.

Italian Heritage Parade

Sunday, Oct. 11: The annual Italian Heritage Day Parade will be held in North Beach and Fisherman’s Wharf beginning at 12:30 p.m. from Jefferson and Powell streets and proceed to Washington Square. The parade should last two and a half hours. For event details, visit sfitalianheritage.org .

The parade formation will require the following street closures, beginning at 7:30 a.m.:

  • Powell Street between Chestnut and Beach streets
  • Stockton Street between Bay and Beach streets
  • Beach Street between Mason and Stockton streets
  • North Point Street between Mason Street and The Embarcadero
  • Francisco Street between Stockton and Mason streets
  • Powell Street between Lombard and Filbert streets
