Outside Lands

Friday, Aug. 11 through Sunday, Aug. 13: Outside Lands will be held in Golden Gate Park from noon to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and from noon to 9:35 p.m. on Sunday. Taxi

Temporary taxi stands for the event will be in place at the following locations from 9 a.m., Friday to 2 a.m., Monday:

  • Southside of Fulton Street between 28th and 29th avenues
  • Southside of Fulton Street between 24th and 25th avenues
  • Northside of Irving Street between 26th and 27th avenues

Pistahan Parade and Festival

Saturday, Aug. 12 and Sunday, Aug. 13: The 30th annual Pistahan Festival will take place at Yerba Buena Gardens from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., each day. For more event details, visit www.pistahan.net.

Saturday, Aug. 12: A parade for the Pistahan Arts Festival will begin at Grove and Larkin streets in Civic Center with an opening ceremony at 10 a.m.

The parade will start at 11 a.m. traveling east on Grove Street, east on Market Street, south to 4th Street and into Yerba Buena Gardens, where the Pistahan Festival will be held on both Saturday and Sunday.

Cross traffic will be allowed between parade units on an intermittent basis. Motorists should allow extra travel time if planning to cross Market Street between 8th and 4th streets.

North Beach Car Show

Saturday, Aug. 12, The Salesian Boys’ and Girls’ Club will host a car show in the North Beach area, on Filbert and Stockton streets alongside Washington Square Park.

The following street closures will be required form 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday:

  • Stockton Street between Filbert and Union streets
  • Filbert Street between Powell and Stockton streets

 

Giants Baseball Games

Friday, Aug. 11 to Wednesday, Aug. 16: The San Francisco Giants will play six home game at the ballpark. Listed below is the start time for the game that SF Giants to play:
  • Three games against the Texas Rangers: 1) 7:15 p.m., Friday, Aug. 11; 2) 6:05 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 12; and 3) 1:05 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 13.
  • Three games against the Tampa Bay Rays: 1) 6:45 p.m., Monday, Aug. 14; 2) 6:45 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 15; and 3) 12:45 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 16.

Street Closures

To accommodate events that will take place at the ballpark, the following street closures will be enforced:

  • Two and a half hours before the opening pitch, the SFMTA will close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic. King Street will reopen after first pitch until the seventh inning.
  • From the seventh inning until post-game traffic dies down, the SFMTA will again close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic in order to reduce congestion on city streets.
  • Additionally, the northbound portion of the 4th Street Bridge (Peter R. Maloney Bridge) will be closed to all traffic except Muni, taxis and bicycles during the post-game period.
Taxi Stands
  • 2nd Street, west side, between Brannan and King Streets
  • 2nd Street, east side, between Townsend and King Streets
  • 3rd Street, east side, north of King Street

Larkin Street Roadway Shared Space

Saturday, Aug. 12: The Tenderloin Lower Polk Merchants and Property Owners Association will host their monthly Roadway Shared Space on Larkin Street.

Larkin Street between Eddy and O’Farrell streets will be closed from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday.

These closures will occur on the second Saturday of every month through Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023. For details visit www.tlmpa.org.
