San Francisco Giant Race 2024
Sunday, Aug. 18: The annual San Francisco Giants Race 10K and 5K run will take place. Both 10K and 5K course tours the scenic San Francisco waterfront and finish on the field at Oracle Park, home of the San Francisco Giants. San Francisco Giants Baseball Games

- Three games against the Chicago Sox: 1) 6:45 p.m., Monday, Aug. 19; 2) 6:45 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 20; and 3) 12:45 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 21.
Street Closures
To accommodate events that will take place at the ballpark, the following street closures will be enforced:
- Two and a half hours before the opening pitch, the SFMTA will close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic. King Street will reopen after first pitch until the seventh inning.
- From the seventh inning until post-game traffic dies down, the SFMTA will again close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic in order to reduce congestion on city streets.
- Additionally, the northbound portion of the 4th Street Bridge (Peter R. Maloney Bridge) will be closed to all traffic except Muni, taxis and bicycles during the post-game period.
- 2nd Street, west side, between Brannan and King Streets
- 2nd Street, east side, between Townsend and King Streets
- 3rd Street, west side, north of King Street
Events at Chase Center
Sunday, Aug. 18: Comedian, actor, and podcast host, Sebastian Maniscalco, will perform at Chase Center. Performance will start at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 6 p.m.
Street Closures
To accommodate events that will take place at the arena, the following street closures will be enforced two hours before and one hour after each event:
- 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
- Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
- Northbound 3rd Street between 16th Street and Warriors Way will also be closed approximately 30 minutes before and 45 minutes after an event.
- Only local access will be allowed on Northbound Illinois Street between Mariposa and 16th streets.
Taxi Stands
There is one taxi stand located on southbound Terry Francois Boulevard.
Ramp Taxis should use the loading zone on eastbound Warriors Way at Bridgeview Way.
San Francisco Gaelic Athletic Association Event
Thursday, Aug. 15 to Monday, Aug. 19: The San Francisco Gaelic Athletic Association’s (SFGAA) Treasure Island Games athletic event will take place in the northern fields on Treasure Island.
To accommodate the crowds and event staging, a street closure of Avenue “H” between 11th and 13th streets will be required from 11:59 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 15 to 11:59 p.m., Monday, Aug. 19.
SF Pizza, Bagel, Beer Festival
Saturday, Aug. 17 : North Beach’s Little Italy is famous for its Italian food, particularly its pizza and pinsa, one of Italy’s greatest culinary contributions to the world. Twenty of the best pizzerias in the San Francisco Bay Area will be showcasing their craft for the public to sample in the heart of North Beach to support local non-profits including Salesian Boys & Girls Club and San Francisco Italian Athletic Club Foundation, Sts. Peter & Paul School, North Beach Business Association and Slice out Hunger. The event covers two blocks of North Beach on Stockton and Filbert streets along Washington Square. The following street closures will be required from 5 a.m., Friday, Aug. 16 to 10 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 17:
- Stockton Street between Union and Filbert streets
- Filbert Street between Stockton and Powell streets
Golden Gate Park Concerts
Saturday, Aug. 17: Concerts hosted by Another Planet Entertainment will take place in the Polo Fields of Golden Gate Park, from 3 to 10 p.m. on Saturday. For more details, visit https://goldengateparkconcerts.com.
Taxi
Temporary taxi stands for the event will be in place at the following locations:
- Fulton Street, southside, between 29th and 28th avenues.
- Fulton Street, southside, between 25th and 24th avenues
San Francisco Lowriders King of the Streets
Saturday, Aug. 17: The San Francisco Lowriders Council will host the King of the Streets lowrider car show and cruise along Mission Street and through the local area. Lowriders will gather at 4 p.m. on Mission Street between Cesar Chavez and 20th streets.
Travelers heading through or near the event area should allow extra travel time, should expect heavy traffic and possible street closures around the event area during the event hours between 2 and 10 p.m.

Heart of the Richmond District Night Market
Saturday, Aug. 17: The third of a series of four family-friendly night markets will take place in the Richmond District on Saturday, Aug. 17, from 4 to 8 p.m. The last event of the series will be on Saturday, Sept. 21.
Clement Street between 22nd and 25th avenues will be closed from Noon to 11 p.m., Saturday. All intersections will remain open.
