Trans March

Friday, June 27: The 21st annual Trans March will take place. Prior to the march, there will be a brunch and rally in Dolores Park. The march will start at 6 p.m. at Dolores and 18th streets and culminate at Turk and Taylor streets. For more details, visit www.transmarch.org. The following street closures will be required from 6 to 9 p.m., Friday, June 27:

    • Taylor Street between Turk and Eddy streets
    • Turk Street between Mason and Taylor streets
Valkyries

Events at Chase Center

Friday, June 27 through Sunday, June 29: There will be events to take place at the Chase Center:
  • Friday, June 27: The Golden State Valkyries will play against the Chicago Sky at the Chase Center. The game will start at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, June 29: The Golden State Valkyries will play against the Seattle Storm at the Chase Center. The game will start at 5:30 p.m. Doors will open at 4 p.m.

Street Closures

To accommodate events that will take place at the arena, the following street closures will be enforced two hours before and one hour after each event:

  • 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  • Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  • Northbound 3rd Street between 16th Street and Warriors Way will also be closed approximately 30 minutes before and 45 minutes after an event.
  • Only local access will be allowed on Northbound Illinois Street between Mariposa and 16th streets.

Taxi Stands

There is one taxi stand located on southbound Terry Francois Boulevard.

Ramp Taxis should use the loading zone on eastbound Warriors Way at Bridgeview Way.

SF Eagle Pride on The Plaza

Sunday, June 29: The “SF Eagle Pride on The Plaza” will take place on 12thStreet. The event will begin from noon to 7 p.m. on Sunday. For more details, visit sf-eagle.com/pride-on-the-plaza.

The following street closures will be required from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Sunday, June 29:

  • Harrison Street between 11th and 13th streets
  • 12th Street between Bernice and Harrison streets
  • Norfolk Street between Folsom and Harrison streets
  • Intersections closed:
    • Harrison Street at 12th Street
    • Harrison Street at Norfolk Street

San Francisco Pride Celebration

Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29: From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday, the annual San Francisco Pride Celebration will be held at the Civic Center Plaza.   • Fulton Street between Hyde and Larkin streets
  • Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place between Grove and McAllister streets
  • Larkin Street between McAllister and Market streets
  • Grove Street (westbound traffic lanes only) between Larkin and Hyde streets (only effective all day on Thursday, June 26)
All day, Friday, June 27:
  • Grove Street between Van Ness Avenue and Hyde Street
  • Fulton Street between Hyde and Larkin streets
  • Larkin Street between McAllister and Market streets
  • Dr. Carlton B Goodlett Place between Grove and McAllister streets
From 8 p.m., Friday, June 27, to the end of service. As well as from midnight, Saturday, June 28 to 11:59 p.m., Sunday, June 29:

All northbound traffic coming from 9th Street will be directed to use Hayes Street to either Van Ness Avenue or Franklin Street. Southbound traffic on Polk Street should use Golden Gate Avenue to Hyde Street until Saturday evening when both Hyde Street and Golden Gate Avenue will be closed.

 

Temporary Taxi Stands

FOR SECURITY REASONS ALL TAXI DRIVERS MUST STAY WITH THEIR VEHICLE WHILE PARKED IN THE TEMPORARY TAXI STANDS.

From 10 a.m., Saturday, June 28 through 9 p.m., Sunday, June 29, there will be limited number of spaces at these locations:

  • 490 Turk Street, north side, two spots
  • 472 Turk Street, north side, two spots
  • Van Ness Avenue, east side, between Grove and McAllister street (in front of City Hall)

Festival Restauracion

Sunday, June 29: Ministerio Restauracion will be hosting a block party from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on San Bruno Avenue.

A street closure of San Bruno Avenue between Burrows and Bacon streets will be required from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday, June 29.

San Francisco Pride Parade

Sunday, June 29: The annual San Francisco Pride Parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. from the lower Market Street formation area. The parade will commence at Market and Beale streets and proceed west on Market Street to Hyde and 8th streets, where it will disband on 8th Street.

At 9 a.m. Market Street from Beale Street to 9th Street will be closed for the parade. All intersections will be closed to cross traffic during the parade, which is scheduled to end at approximately 8 p.m. As each section of Market Street is cleaned by the San Francisco Public Works personnel, it will be reopened.

The following streets comprise the formation area will be closed beginning at 6 a.m. Traffic on cross streets will be allowed to continue, subject to delays, except when parade units are actually crossing the intersections:

  • Market Street between 8th and 9th streets
  • Steuart Street between Market and Howard streets
  • Spear Street between Market and Folsom streets (intersections remain open)
  • Main Street between Market and Folsom streets (intersections remain open)
  • Beale Street between Market and Mission streets
  • Beale Street between Mission and Howard streets
  • Beale Street between Mission and Folsom streets (intersections remain open)
Mission Street between The Embarcadero and Van Ness Avenue will be posted as “Tow Away/No Parking” and will be restricted to transit, taxis, and bicycles only. Both Van Ness Avenue and The Embarcadero will be open for through traffic.

Concerts at the Ballpark

Monday, June 30 and Tuesday, July 1: There will be two concert performances to take place at the ballpark:
  • Monday, June 30: Concert performance by Shakira, a Colombian singer-songwriter, will start at 7:30 p.m. and will end at approximately 11 p.m.
  • Tuesday, July 1: Concert performance by Post Malone will start at 6:30 p.m. and will end at approximately 11 p.m.
Street Closures

To accommodate the event, the following street closures will be enforced:

  • Beginning at around 9 p.m., the SFMTA will close eastbound King Street between 2nd and 3rd streets to vehicle traffic in order to reduce congestion on city streets.
  • Additionally, the northbound portion of the 4th Street Bridge (Peter R. Maloney Bridge) will be closed to all traffic except Muni, taxis and bicycles during the post-concert period.
  • Southbound 2nd Street at Townsend Street will be temporary closed when concert ends, only Taxis and emergency vehicles will be allowed through the closure.

  • 2nd Street, west side, between Brannan and King Streets
  • 2nd Street, east side, between Townsend and King Streets
  • 3rd Street, east side, north of King Street
