Bhangra and Beats Night Market

Friday, May 10: A dance party and social event will take place in the vicinity of Battery and Clay streets from 5 to 10 p.m. as part of Downtown Revitalization activities. For more details, visit bhangraandbeats.com .

The following street closures will be required from noon, Friday to 2 a.m., Saturday, May 11:

  • Clay Street between Sansome and Front streets
  • Battery Street between Washington and Sacramento streets
  • Merchant Street between Sansome and Battery streets
  • Intersections at Battery Street: Clay and Merchant streets
This event will take place again on the following Fridays: July 12, Sept. 13 and Nov. 15, 2024.

Chinatown Night Market

    • Friday, May 10: The monthly night market will take place in Chinatown. This is an event that takes place on the second Friday of each month, from 5:30 to 9 p.m.

      The following street closures will be required from 3 to 10 p.m., Friday:

      • Grant Avenue between Sacramento and Jackson streets
      • Commercial Street between Kearny Street and Grant Avenue
      • Intersection: Grant Avenue and Commercial Street
      All other intersections will remain open.

San Francisco Giants Baseball Games

    • Friday, May 10 through Wednesday, May 15: The San Francisco Giants will play six home games at the ballpark. Listed below are start times for these games:
      • Three games against the Cincinnati Reds: 1) 7:15 p.m., Friday, May 10; 2) 4:15 p.m., Saturday, May 11 and 3) 1:05 p.m., Sunday, May 12.
      • Three games against the Los Angeles Dodgers: 1) 6:45 p.m., Monday, May 13; 2) 6:45 p.m., Tuesday, May 14 and 3) 6:45 p.m., Wednesday, May 15.

      Street Closures

      To accommodate events that will take place at the ballpark, the following street closures will be enforced:

      • Two and a half hours before the opening pitch, the SFMTA will close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic. King Street will reopen after first pitch until the seventh inning.
      • From the seventh inning until post-game traffic dies down, the SFMTA will again close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic in order to reduce congestion on city streets.
      • Additionally, the northbound portion of the 4th Street Bridge (Peter R. Maloney Bridge) will be closed to all traffic except Muni, taxis and bicycles during the post-game period.
      Taxi Stands
      • 2nd Street, west side, between Brannan and King Streets
      • 2nd Street, east side, between Townsend and King Streets
      • 3rd Street, west side, north of King Street

Alfa Romeo Car Show

    • Saturday, May 11: The San Francisco Italian Athletic Club will host a car show on Stockton Street alongside Washington Square Park.

      Stockton Street will be closed between Filbert and Union streets from 6 a.m. through 2 p.m. for the event.

SF Lowriders Council Cinco de Mayo Car Show and Cruise

    • Saturday, May 11: The San Francisco Lowriders Council will gather for a car show and cruise on Mission Street. The car show will be at John O’Connell High School from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cars will “cruise” on Mission Street between Cesar Chavez and 24th streets starting at 4 p.m.

      To support the event, a street closure of Harrison Street between 19th and 20th streets will be required from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.

      Throughout the cars cruising event:

      • Mission Street will remain open to traffic.
      • Muni buses along Mission Street will be re-routed to South Van Ness Avenue.
      • With exception of Muni buses, cross traffic at the following locations along Mission Street will be closed during the event:
        • 23rd Street
        • 24th Street
        • 25th Street
        • 26th Street
