Penny Pitch Charity Event
Friday, May 9: St. Anthony Foundation will be holding their 47th Annual Pitch and Raffle in the North Beach. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more details, visit www.stanthonysf.org.
A street closure of Stockton Street between Filbert and Union streets will be closed from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. will be required.
Larkin Street Roadway Shared Space
Saturday, May 10: The Tenderloin Lower Polk Merchants and Property Owners Association will host their monthly Roadway Shared Space on Larkin Street.
Larkin Street between Eddy and O’Farrell streets will be closed from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday.
These closures will occur on the second Saturday of every month through Saturday, May 10. For details visit www.tlmpa.org.
Events at Chase Center
There will be basketball games to take place at the Chase Center:
- Saturday, May 10: The Warriors’ Play Off Game Three against the Minnesota Timberwolves will take place. The game will start at 5:30 p.m. Doors will open at 4 p.m.
- Monday, May 12: The Warriors’ Play Off Game Four against the Minnesota Timberwolves will take place. The game will start at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
Street Closures
To accommodate events that will take place at the arena, the following street closures will be enforced two hours before and one hour after each event:
- 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
- Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
- Northbound 3rd Street between 16th Street and Warriors Way will also be closed approximately 30 minutes before and 45 minutes after an event.
- Only local access will be allowed on Northbound Illinois Street between Mariposa and 16th streets.
Taxi Stands
There is one taxi stand located on southbound Terry Francois Boulevard.
Ramp Taxis should use the loading zone on eastbound Warriors Way at Bridgeview Way.
Other pickup/drop-off locations near Chase Center
- 4th Street, which connects to Chase Center via the Gene Friend Way pedestrian path on the UCSF campus.
- Owens Street, which also connects to Chase Center via the Gene Friend Way pedestrian path on the UCSF campus.
San Francisco Giants Baseball Game
- Monday, May 12 through Wednesday, May 14: The San Francisco Giants will play three games at the ballpark. Listed below are start times for these games:
- Three games against the Arizona Diamondbacks: 1) 6:45 p.m., Monday, May 12; 2) 6:45 p.m., Tuesday, May 13; and 3) 12:45 p.m., Wednesday, May 14.
Street Closures
To accommodate events that will take place at the ballpark, the following street closures will be enforced:
- Two and a half hours before the opening pitch, the SFMTA will close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic. King Street will reopen after the first pitch until the seventh inning.
- From the seventh inning until post-game traffic dies down, the SFMTA will again close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic in order to reduce congestion on city streets.
- Additionally, the northbound portion of the 4th Street Bridge (Peter R. Maloney Bridge) will be closed to all traffic except Muni, taxis and bicycles during the post-game period.
