Dreamforce Convention
Monday, Sept. 4 through Sunday, Sept 17: A street closure of Howard Street between 3rd and 4th streets will be required for the Dreamforce Convention.
Tuesday, Sept. 12 through Thursday, Sept 14: The Salesforce Corporation will be holding its yearly Dreamforce Convention at the Moscone Center. Conference hours will be from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day. Registration will begin at 6 a.m., Monday, Sept. 11. An attendance of approximately 30,000 to 35,000 is expected at Moscone Center North, South and West. For more event details, visit https://www.salesforce.com/dreamforce/.
Significant traffic congestion is anticipated in and around Moscone Center between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily for the duration of the closure, particularly on streets immediately east of 3rd Street and on 4th Street between Market and Howard streets during mornings and afternoons. Travelers are encouraged to take public transportation or use alternate routes. There will be heavy pedestrian traffic in the area.
Howard Street traffic will be detoured via southbound 2nd Street to Harrison Street, or via New Montgomery Street to Hawthorne Street to either Folsom or Harrison streets.
Signage will be placed in advance of the street closures and detour routes.
In addition to the full closure of Howard Street between 3rd and 4th streets, there will be lane closures on Folsom, Howard, 3rd and 4th streets.
There will be temporary taxi stands for pick up and drop off only:
- Eastside of Third Street (northbound) between Howard and Minna streets
- Southside of Howard Street (westbound) between 4th and 5th streets
Events at Chase Center
Friday, Sept. 1: Performance by the LL Cool J will take place at Chase Center. Show will begin at 8 p.m. with doors open at 7 p.m.
Street Closures
To accommodate events that will take place at the arena, the following street closures will be enforced two hours before and one hour after each event:
- 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
- Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
- Northbound 3rd Street between 16th Street and Warriors Way will also be closed approximately 30 minutes before and 45 minutes after an event.
- Only local access will be allowed on Northbound Illinois Street between Mariposa and 16th streets.
Taxi Stands
There is one taxi stand located on southbound Terry Francois Boulevard.
Ramp Taxis should use the loading zone on eastbound Warriors Way at Bridgeview Way.
SF Chinatown Car & Parade
Saturday, Sept. 2 and Sunday, Sept 3: The Chinatown History and Culture Association, Chinese Herb Trade Association of America, BeChinatown and TPS Motorsports will host the SF Chinatown Car Weekend 2023 on Grant Avenue.
The following street closures will be required from 6 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 3:
- Grant Avenue between California Street and Broadway
- Commercial Street between Grant Avenue and Kearny Street
San Francisco Giant Race 2023
Sunday, Sept. 3: The 14th annual San Francisco Giants Race 10K and 5K run will take place. Both 10K and 5K course tours the scenic San Francisco waterfront and finish on the field at Oracle Park, home of the San Francisco Giants. The runs will start at 9 a.m. An estimated number of 10,000 runners is expected. For more event details, visit http://www.race-sfgiants.com/san-francisco.

- 3rd Street between King and Channel streets
- King Street between 3rd and Townsend streets

- The Embarcadero between Townsend and Jefferson streets
- Beach Street between The Embarcadero and Jones Street
