Dreamforce Convention
Saturday, Sept. 5, through Sunday, Sept. 20: A street closure of Howard Street between 3rd and 4th streets will be required for the Dreamforce Convention beginning at 6 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 5 and continuing through 10 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 20.
Sunday, Sept. 13: Beginning at 10 p.m., the closure of eastern half of 4th Street between Mission and Folsom streets will be enforced.
From Sunday, Sept. 6 through Sunday, Sept. 20, Howard Street traffic will be detoured via southbound 2nd Street to Harrison Street, or via New Montgomery Street to Hawthorne Street to either Folsom or Harrison streets.
There will be temporary taxi stands for pick up and drop off only:
- White Zone at W Hotel, north side of Howard Street between 3rd Street and Hawthorne Street
- White Zone at Intercontinental, north side of Howard Street at 5th Street
- Southside of Howard Street (westbound) between 4th and 5th streets
Castro Night Market
Friday, Sept. 18: The Castro Night Market will take place from 5 to 10 p.m. on 18th and Castro streets. For more details, visit castro-night-market.
The following street and parking lot closures will be required from 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 18 to 1 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 19:
- 18th Street between Collingwood and Hartford streets
- The SFMTA parking lot behind Walgreens
Excelsior Night Market
Friday, Sept. 18: The Excelsior Action Group will host the From the E: End of Summer Night Market on Ocean Avenue and Mission Street. Event will take place from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
The following street closure will be required from noon to 11:59 p.m., Friday, Sept. 18:
- Ocean Avenue between Mission Street and Persia Avenue
Chinatown Autumn Moon Festival
Saturday, Sept. 19 and Sunday, Sept. 20: The Autumn Moon Festival, will transform the iconic Grant Avenue in San Francisco Chinatown for two days, Saturday and Sunday, into an attractive Asian-themed corridor with outdoor dining, cultural exhibits, children’s activities, martial arts, art displays and vendor offerings. The festival will take place between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day. For event details, visit www.moonfestival.org.
Friday, Sept. 18 to Sunday, Sept. 20: The following street closures will be required from 10 p.m., Friday to 11:30 p.m., Sunday:
- Grant Avenue from California Street to Broadway
- Commercial Street from Kearny Street to Grant Avenue
- Intersection: Commercial Street at Grant Avenue
Event at Chase Center
- Friday, Sept. 18: Golden State Valkyries will play against the Portland Fire. The game will start at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
- Saturday, Sept. 19: Golden State Valkyries will play against the Seattle Storm. The game will start at 6 p.m. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m.
Street Closures
To accommodate events that will take place at the arena, the following street closures will be enforced two hours before and one hour after each event:
- 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
- Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
- Northbound 3rd Street between 16th Street and Warriors Way will also be closed approximately 30 minutes before and 45 minutes after the event.
Only local access will be allowed on Northbound Illinois Street between Mariposa and 16th streets.
- There is one taxi stand located on southbound Terry Francois Boulevard.
- Ramp Taxis should use the loading zone on eastbound Warriors Way at Bridgeview Way.
San Francisco Lowriders King of the Streets
Saturday, Sept. 19: The San Francisco Lowriders Council will host the King of the Streets lowrider car show and cruise along Mission Street and through the local area. Lowriders will gather at 4 p.m. on Mission Street between Cesar Chavez and 22nd streets. This year, the event will be broadcasted by KPIX.
Travelers heading through or near the event area should allow extra travel time, should expect heavy traffic and possible street closures around the event area during the event hours between 1 and 8 p.m.

- 24th St between Valencia and Capp streets
- 24th Street between Capp and Valencia streets
- Lilac Street between 24th and 25th streets
- Intersections closed: 24th Street at Orange Alley, Barlett, Osage and Lilac streets
Leather Pride Festival and Leather Walk
Sunday, Sept. 20: The annual Leather Pride Festival and Leather Walk will be held on Sunday, Sept. 20. The Leather Walk is scheduled to depart City Hall at 11:30 a.m. and arrive at the Leather Pride Fest at 2:30 p.m. For more event details, visit https://sfleatherdistrict.org.
The following streets closures will be required from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 20:
- Harrison Street between 11th and 13th streets
- 12th Street between Folsom and Harrison streets
- Alleys and minor streets bordering Folsom, 11th, Harrison, and 13th (Division) streets
Taxi Stand
There will be one taxi stand located on the east side of Masonic Avenue at Haight Street.
Haight Ashbury Street Fair
Sunday, Sept. 20: The 47th annual Haight Ashbury Street Fair will take place in the Haight-Ashbury District. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For event details, visit Haight Ashbury Street Fair.
The following street closures will be required from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m on Sunday:
- Haight Street between Masonic and Stanyan streets
- Ashbury Street between Page and Waller streets
- Clayton Street between Page and Waller streets
- Cole Street between Page and Waller streets
- Belvedere Street between Page and Waller streets
- Shrader Street between Page and Waller streets
- Intersections: Ashbury, Clayton, Shrader, Cole and Belvedere at Haight Street
Taxi Stand
There will be one taxi stand located on the west side of 11th Street between Folsom and Harrison streets.
San Francisco Giants Games
- Three games against the Minnesota Twins: a) 6:45 p.m., Monday, Sept. 21; b) 6:45 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 22; and c) 12:45 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 23.
Street Closures
To accommodate events that will take place at the ballpark, the following street closures will be enforced:
- Two and a half hours before the opening pitch, the SFMTA will close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic. King Street will reopen after first pitch until the seventh inning.
- From the seventh inning until post-game traffic dies down, the SFMTA will again close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic in order to reduce congestion on city streets.
- Additionally, the northbound portion of the 4th Street Bridge (Peter R. Maloney Bridge) will be closed to all traffic except Muni, taxis and bicycles during the post-game period.
- 2nd Street, west side, between Brannan and King Streets
- 2nd Street, east side, between Townsend and King Streets
- 3rd Street, east side, north of King Street
Fiesta on the Hill
Sunday, Sept. 20: BHNC will hold its Fiesta on the Hill in the Bernal Heights neighborhood on Cortland Avenue between Bocana and Folsom streets. The community event features seven blocks of food vendors, arts and crafts and local goods and services. - Cortland Avenue from Bocana to Folsom streets
- Moultrie Street from Eugenia to Cortland avenues
