Premiere at the Curran Theatre

On Thursday, Feb. 24, a red-carpet event for the show “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” will take place at the Curran Theatre from approximately 5 until 9 p.m.

To facilitate the event, Geary Street between Mason and Taylor streets will be partially closed to vehicular traffic from 1 until 4:30 p.m. and then will be fully closed to traffic from 4:30 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 24.

During the street closure the SFMTA’s Parking Control Officers will be onsite to facilitate traffic and Muni service.

Travelers heading to the event area should allow extra time and use alternate routes. If being dropped off by car, please use the white zone on Taylor Street between O’Farrell and Geary streets.

Basketball Game and Event at Chase Center

Saturday, Feb. 26 to Sunday, Feb. 27: There will be a basketball game and event at the Chase Center:
  • Saturday, Feb. 26: Black History Month Celebration will take place from noon to 4 p.m.
  • Sunday, Feb. 27: The Warriors will play against the Dallas Mavericks. Game will begin at 4:30 p.m. Doors will open at 3 p.m.

Street Closures

To accommodate events that will take place at the arena, the following street closures will be enforced two hours before and one hour after each event:

  • 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  • Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  • Northbound 3rd Street between 16th Street and Warriors Way will also be closed approximately 30 minutes before and 45 minutes after an event.
  • Only local access will be allowed on Northbound Illinois Street between Mariposa and 16th streets.
Taxi Stands
  • There is one taxi stand located on southbound Terry Francois Boulevard.
  • Ramp Taxis should use the loading zone on eastbound Warriors Way (formerly South Street) at Bridgeview Way.
