Sunday Streets : Valencia

Sunday, July 10: The fourth Sunday Streets event for 2022 will be held in the Mission District along Valencia Street between Duboce Avenue and 26thStreet. The route will open the roadway to people walking, bicycling, and other recreational activities from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Sunday Streets is an open streets event put on as a joint project between the SFMTA and Livable City to promote an active lifestyle and bicycle and pedestrian activities. Streets will be closed to traffic and turned over for bike and pedestrian activities for these events. The event is free to all participants. For event details visit Sunday Streets Valencia.

Beginning at 8 a.m., NO PARKING will be allowed on Valencia Street between Duboce Avenue and 26 Street.

From 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Valencia Street between Duboce Avenue and 26th Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic.

Cross-traffic at Valencia Street will be allowed on:

  • 14th Street
  • 16th Street
  • 18th Street
  • 24th Street
  • 26th Street
  • Duboce Avenue

Giants Baseball Games

  • Monday, July 11 through Wednesday, July 13: The San Francisco Giants will play seven home games at the ballpark. Listed below are teams to play and start times for these games:
    • Three games against the Arizona Diamondback: 1) 6:45 p.m., Monday, July 11; 2) 6:45 p.m., Tuesday, July 12; and 3) 12:45 p.m., Wednesday, July 13.
    Street Closures
    To accommodate events that will take place at the ballpark, the following street closures will be enforced:
    • Two and a half hours before the opening pitch, the SFMTA will close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic. King Street will reopen after the first pitch until the seventh inning.
    • From the seventh inning, until post-game traffic dies down, the SFMTA will again close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic in order to reduce congestion on city streets.
    • Additionally, the northbound portion of the 4th Street Bridge (Peter R. Maloney Bridge) will be closed to all traffic except Muni, taxis, and bicycles during the post-game period.
    Taxi Stands
    • 2nd Street, west side, between Brannan and King Streets
    • 2nd Street, east side, between Townsend and King Streets
    • 3rd Street, east side, north of King Street
