Partial Opening of the Salesforce Transit Center

The Salesforce Transit Center is opening for Muni service on Saturday, June 16! While the full Transit Center, including the Grand Hall entrance and rooftop park, isn’t open until later this summer, the bus plaza will be operational for certain Muni routes.

Juneteenth Celebration

Saturday, June 16:  The Juneteenth Celebration will take place on Fillmore Street between Golden Gate Avenue and Geary Boulevard from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The following street closures for the celebration will be required from 1 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday:

  • Fillmore Street between Geary Boulevard and Golden Gate Avenue
  • O’Farrell Street between Fillmore and Steiner streets
  • Intersections of O’Farrell and Fillmore streets

Juneteenth Parade

Saturday, June 16:  The Juneteenth Parade will begin at 11 a.m. starting from the African American Art and Cultural Complex on Fulton Street. It will proceed east on Fulton, then north on Laguna Street and west on Turk Street.  The parade will disband on Turk Street between Fillmore and Steiner streets. The parade is estimated to finish at 1 p.m.

North Beach Festival

Saturday, June 16 and Sunday, June 17:  The 64th annual North Beach Festival will take place in the North Beach District.  Event will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., each day.

The following street closures will be required from 12:01 a.m., Saturday to midnight, Sunday:

  • Columbus Avenue between Broadway and Green Street
  • Grant Avenue between Columbus Avenue and Filbert Street

  • Vallejo Street between Grant Avenue and Stockton Street
  • Intersections: Vallejo and Green streets at Grant Avenue, Grant Avenue at Columbus Avenue
