Juneteenth Parade
Saturday, June 8: The Juneteenth Parade will begin at 11 a.m. and proceed from the assembly area at Spear Street and Market Street west along Market Street to Hyde Street, will then turn off to Grove Street and finally disband at Civic Center Plaza. There will be an event in Civic Center after the parade. The parade is estimated to finish at 1 p.m. For additional information, visit www.sfcjuneteenth.org.
There will be a street closure on Grove Street between Polk and Larkin streets from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. to support the event in Civic Center Plaza.
Outer Sunset Merchant & Professional Association Special Event
Saturday, June 8: The Outer Sunset Merchant and Professional Association special event will take place in the Sunset District on Saturday, June 8. Event hours will be from Noon to 5 p.m.
The following street closures will be required from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday:
- Irving Street between 19th and 22nd avenues
- Intersections will be closed at: 20th and 21st avenues on Irving Street
Larkin Street Roadway Shared Space
Saturday, June 8: A shared space closure to provide outdoor space for Tenderloin residents and business to work the economic recovery for the neighborhood will take place on Larkin Street on Saturday.
To facilitate the closure, Larkin Street between Eddy and O’Farrell streets will be closed from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Heart of the Richmond District Night Market
Saturday, June 8: A series of four family-friendly night markets will take place in the Richmond District. The first event will take place on Saturday, June 8, from 4 to 8 p.m. This event will take place on the following Saturdays: July 20; Aug. 17 and Sept. 21.
Clement Street between 22nd and 25th avenues will be closed from Noon to 11 p.m., Saturday. All intersections will remain open.
PTO San Francisco Stop at the Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon
Saturday, June 8: For the first time of this year, the annual “Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon” on Sunday will be preceded by another triathlon being put on in conjunction with the Professional Triathletes Organization (PTO). The PTO Triathlon is equivalent to the PGA, LPGA and ATP, a membership-based organization of the World.
The race will begin at 6 a.m. on the City Cruises ship in the San Francisco Bay between the piers and the island of Alcatraz with 2K (1.2M) swim to the Marina Green Beach adjacent to the St. Francis Yacht Club. The 80K (50M) bike course will be five loops going out the Presidio making a turnaround on El Camino Del Mar at 30th Avenue. The 18K (11M) run course will have three loops between the Marina Green and the Warming Hut.
The following street closures will be required from 3 to 11 a.m., Saturday, though lifted as quickly as possible as the race passes through, local access is being maintained:
- El Camino Del Mar between Lincoln Boulevard (Land’s End/Legion of Honor and The Presidio)
- 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th and 30th avenues between El Camino Del Mar and Lake Street
- 29th Avenue between Lake Street and McLaren Avenue
- McLaren Avenue between El Camino Del Mar and 28th Avenue
- Marina Boulevardd between Lyon and Fillmore streets
Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon
Sunday, June 9: The annual “Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon” will begin at 7:30 a.m. with a swim from a barge off Alcatraz into the beach next to the St. Francis Yacht Club. For event details, visit www.escapealcatraztri.com.
Bike riders will leave Marina Green, then bike into the Presidio to the Great Highway through Golden Gate Park and back to the Marina for the run to Baker Beach and back to the finish line on Marina Green.
The northernmost lanes of Marina Boulevard between Scott and Lyon streets will be closed between 3 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
The following street closures will be implemented from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m., though lifted as quickly as possible as the race passes through, with local access being maintained:

- Seal Rock Drive between 45th Avenue and El Camino del Mar
- 45th Avenue, Alta Mar Way and El Camino del Mar between Point Lobos Avenue and Seal Rock Drive
- Point Lobos Avenue between El Camino del Mar and Great Highway
San Francisco Giants Baseball Games
- Three games against the Houston Astros: 1) 6:45 p.m., Monday, June 10; 2) 6:45 p.m., Tuesday, June 11 and 3) 6:45 p.m., Wednesday, June 12.
- Two and a half hours before the opening pitch, the SFMTA will close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic. King Street will reopen after first pitch until the seventh inning.
- From the seventh inning until post-game traffic dies down, the SFMTA will again close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic in order to reduce congestion on city streets.
- Additionally, the northbound portion of the 4th Street Bridge (Peter R. Maloney Bridge) will be closed to all traffic except Muni, taxis and bicycles during the post-game period.
- 2nd Street, west side, between Brannan and King Streets
- 2nd Street, east side, between Townsend and King Streets
- 3rd Street, west side, north of King Street
Pulse Night Club Memorial
Wednesday, June 12: In memorial of the victims of the Pulse nightclub mass shooting, there will be an event in Jane Warner Plaza on from 3 to 7 p.m.
The plaza will be closed for Muni between 3 and 7 p.m
Events at Chase Center
Wednesday, June 12: Performance by Janet Jackson will take place. The show will start at 8 p.m. Doors will open at 7 p.m.
Street Closures
To accommodate events that will take place at the arena, the following street closures will be enforced two hours before and one hour after each event:
- 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
- Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
- Northbound 3rd Street between 16th Street and Warriors Way will also be closed approximately 30 minutes before and 45 minutes after an event.
- Only local access will be allowed on Northbound Illinois Street between Mariposa and 16th streets.
Taxi Stands
There is one taxi stand located on southbound Terry Francois Boulevard.
Ramp Taxis should use the loading zone on eastbound Warriors Way at Bridgeview Way.
