Filming
Sunday, March 31: Filming of a TV pilot will take place in the North Beach area.
The following street closures will be required from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.:
- Columbus Avenue between Union and Vallejo streets
- Stockton Street between Union and Vallejo streets
- Green Street between Grant Avenue and Powell Street
- Small alleys in the area bounded by the street closures
During the street closure, traffic on Columbus Avenue will be detoured:
- Northbound traffic on to Grant Avenue and then Union Street.
- Southbound traffic on to Union Street and then Broadway.
Sunday Streets: Excelsior
Sunday, March 31: The second Sunday Streets event of the season will be held in the Excelsior District. The route includes the bustling outer Mission merchant corridor from Theresa Street and Avalon to Geneva Avenue. The route will open the roadway to people walking, bicycling and other recreational activities from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday Streets is free and open to the public. The following street closures will be required from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.:
- Mission Street between Geneva and Avalon avenues.
- Intersections: Amazon Avenue, Onondaga Avenue, Seneca Avenue, Russia Avenue, Leo Street, Ruth Street, Norton Street Harrington Street, Santa Rosa Avenue, Excelsior Avenue, Francis Street, Cotter Street, and Tingley Street at Mission Street.
Cross traffic will be allowed on: Persia Avenue, Theresa Street, Avalon Avenue at Mission Street.
Mission Street traffic will be diverted to Alemany Boulevard:
- Northbound traffic at Geneva Avenue
- Southbound traffic at Silver Avenue
Access to Safeway will only be allowed from Italy Avenue.
Taxi Zones
The SFMTA has four taxi zones serving the ballpark in effect on event days:
- East side of 2nd Street between King and Townsend, 7 spaces.
- West side of 2nd Street between King and Townsend, 2 spaces.
- West side of 2nd Street between Townsend and Brannan, 5 spaces.
- West side of 3rd Street between King and Townsend, 5 spaces.
Please be advised that:
- U-turns are not permitted on 2nd
- Parking Control Officers generally close access to 2nd Street at Townsend Street at the beginning of the 7th
- Taxis are generally allowed past the closure if 2nd Street is clear of pedestrians.
Cruise Ship Schedule : April – June
Typically passengers begin to disembark 45 minutes after the ship arrives and unloading continues for a couple of hours
