Basketball Games at Chase Center

  • Wednesday, May 18, and Friday, May 20: The Warriors’ playoff games against the Dallas Mavericks will take place:

     

    • Wednesday, May 18: Game 1 will begin at 6 p.m. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m.
    • Friday, May 20: Game 2 will begin at 6 p.m. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m.

    Street Closures

    To accommodate events that will take place at the arena, the following street closures will be enforced two hours before and one hour after each event:

    • 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
    • Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
    • Northbound 3rd Street between 16th Street and Warriors Way will also be closed approximately 30 minutes before and 45 minutes after an event.
    • Only local access will be allowed on Northbound Illinois Street between Mariposa and 16th streets.

    Taxi Stands

     

    • There is one taxi stand located on southbound Terry Francois Boulevard.
    • Ramp Taxis should use the loading zone on eastbound Warriors Way (formerly South Street) at Bridgeview Way.

San Francisco Giants Baseball Games

Friday, May 20 through next Wednesday, May 25: The San Francisco Giants will play six home games at the ballpark. Listed below are teams to play and start times for these games:
  • Three games against the San Diego Padres: 1) 7:15 p.m., Friday, May 20; 2) 1:05 p.m., Saturday, May 21; and 3) 1:05 p.m., Sunday, May 22.
  • Three games against the New York Mets: 1) 6:45 p.m., Monday, May 23; 2) 6:45 p.m., Tuesday, May 24; and 3) 12:45 p.m., Wednesday, May 25.

Street Closures

To accommodate events that will take place at the ballpark, the following street closures will be enforced:

  • Two and a half hours before the opening pitch, the SFMTA will close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic. King Street will reopen after first pitch until the seventh inning.
  • From the seventh inning until post-game traffic dies down, the SFMTA will again close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic in order to reduce congestion on city streets.
  • Additionally, the northbound portion of the 4th Street Bridge (Peter R. Maloney Bridge) will be closed to all traffic except Muni, taxis and bicycles during the post-game period.
Taxi Stands
  • 2nd Street, west side, between Brannan and King Streets
  • 2nd Street, east side, between Townsend and King Streets
  • 3rd Street, east side, north of King Street

Sunday Streets – Bayview

Sunday, May 22: The second Sunday Streets event for 2022 will be held in the Bayview neighborhood. The route is changed significantly from past years. The bulk of the event will be on Lane and Keith streets, east of 3rd Street, with a limited closure on northbound 3rd Street. The route will open the roadway to people walking, bicycling, and other recreational activities from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The following street closures will be required from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday:

  • Revere Avenue between Keith and Lane streets
  • Oakdale Avenue between 3rd and Lane streets
  • Armstrong Avenue between Keith and 3rd streets
  • Keith Street between Wallace and Carroll avenues
  • Lane Street between Underwood and Van Dyke avenues
  • Lane Street between 3rd Street and Armstrong Avenue
  • Yosemite Avenue between 3rd and Mendell streets
The following street closure will be required from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday:
  • 3rd Street (northbound travel lanes only) between Carroll and Yosemite avenues
The following street closures will be required from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday:
  • Lane Street between Underwood and Oakdale avenues
  • Keith Street between Underwood and Wallace avenues
Cross-traffic will be allowed on:
  • Palou Avenue at Lane Street
  • Van Dyke Avenue at Keith Street
  • Yosemite Avenue at Keith Street

Harvey Milk Day 2022

  • Sunday, May 22: A block party for a tribute to Harvey Milk and a celebration of life and legacy of the “Mayor of Castro Street” will take place from noon to 5 p.m. in Jane Warner Plaza at Castro and 17th Street.There will be no street closure for the event.
