U.S. Navy Fleet Week

Now through Monday, October 14: Fleet Week is being held along Fisherman’s Wharf and the Marina District.

The Blue Angels will have official shows on Friday, October 11, Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13, from noon to 4 p.m., each day.

From Friday through Sunday, the Parade of Ships, air shows and ship tours will be held to celebrate the U.S. Navy Fleet Week. These events will impact the Fisherman’s Wharf area and the Marina District.

The celebration will begin on Friday at 10 a.m. with the Parade of Ships and continue on Saturday and Sunday from Noon to 4 p.m. Ship tours will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday through Monday.  A crowd of more than 300,000 is expected each weekend day.

Street Closures

Jefferson Street between Hyde Street and westerly terminus will be closed from 6 a.m., Friday, October 11 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 13.

Ocean Beach Music and Art Festival

Saturday, October 12: The annual Ocean Beach Music and Art Festival will take place on Noriega Street between 45th and 47th avenues in the Outer Sunset. The event will run from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. For event details, visit http://obmusicfestival.com/index.html.

The following street closures will be required from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.:

  • Noriega Street between 44th and 47th avenues
  • 46th Avenue between Moraga and Ortega streets
  • 45th Avenue between Moraga and Ortega streets
  • Intersection:  Noriega Street at 45th and 46th Avenue

Italian Heritage Parade

Sunday, October 13: The annual Italian Heritage Day Parade will be held in North Beach and Fisherman’s Wharf beginning at 12:30 p.m. from Jefferson and Powell streets and proceed to Washington Square. The parade should last 2.5 hours and 150,000 people are expected. For event details, visit https://sfitalianheritage.org/.

The parade formation will require the following street closures, beginning at 8 a.m.:

  • Powell Street between Chestnut and Beach streets
  • Stockton Street between Bay and Beach streets
  • Beach Street between Mason Street and Grant Avenue
  • North Point Street between Mason Street and The Embarcadero
  • Francisco Street between Stockton and Mason streets
  • Greenwich Street between Powell and Columbus streets

The parade route will begin on Jefferson Street at Mason Street, proceed west on Jefferson Street, south on Leavenworth Street, south on Columbus Avenue, south on Stockton Street, east on Vallejo Street, north on Columbus Avenue, north on Stockton Street, east on to Filbert Street and past the review stands at Washington Square Park. Parade units will disburse on Powell Street. Traffic along the parade route will be closed until the parade clears.

Chase Center Events

Events at Chase Center

Thursday, October 10 and Sunday, October 13: The following events will take place at Chase Center. Doors will open approximately one hour before each event starts.

  • Thursday, October 10: The Warriors will play their second pre-season game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Game will start at 7:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, October 13Logic will perform at the Chase Center. Show will start at 7:30 p.m.

Street Closures

To accommodate events that will take place at the arena, the following street closures will be enforced two hours before and one hour after each event:

  • 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  • Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  • Northbound 3rd Street between 16th Street and Warriors Way will also be closed approximately 30 minutes before an event ends and 45 minutes after an event ends.

Taxi Stands

  • Taxi Stands are located on Terry Francois Boulevard, one northbound and one southbound.
  • Ramp taxis should use the loading zone on eastbound Warriors Way (formerly South Street) at Bridgeview Way.

 

Cruise Ship Schedule : October – December

Typically passengers begin to disembark 45 minutes after the ship arrives and unloading continues for a couple of hours.
