Hardly Strictly Bluegrass
Friday, Sept. 30 through Sunday, Oct. 2: The Hardly Strictly Bluegrass free live music will take place at Hellman Hollow and at Marx and Lindley meadows in Golden Gate Park. The concert will be held from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, each day. Attendance of 150,000 participants is expected each day. Taxi
Temporary taxi stands for the event will be in place at the following locations from Friday at 9 a.m. to Monday at 2 a.m.:
- Fulton Street (south side) between 35th and 36th avenues
- Fulton Street (south side) between 28th and 29th avenues
Critical Mass 30th Anniversary Ride
Friday, Sept. 30: This Friday marks the 30th Anniversary of the Critical Mass bicycle rides. As in the past, it is expected that the main body of bicycles will depart from the Embarcadero Plaza (formerly Justin Herman Plaza) at around 7:15 p.m. There may be other groups acting separately from this one. Significantly more bicyclists are expected for this anniversary ride than in recent months. Motor vehicle drivers should drive with caution and allow groups of bicycles to operate safely. Additional travel time should be allowed.
San Francisco Giants Baseball Games
- Three games against the Arizona Diamondbacks: 1) 7:15 p.m., Friday, Sept. 30; 2) 1:05 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 1; and 3) 1:05 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 2.
- To accommodate events that will take place at the ballpark, the following street closures will be enforced:
- Two and a half hours before the opening pitch, the SFMTA will close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic. King Street will reopen after first pitch until the seventh inning.
- From the seventh inning until post-game traffic dies down, the SFMTA will again close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic in order to reduce congestion on city streets.
Additionally, the northbound portion of the 4th Street Bridge (Peter R. Maloney Bridge) will be closed to all traffic except Muni, taxis and bicycles during the post-game period.

- 2nd Street, west side, between Brannan and King Streets
- 2nd Street, east side, between Townsend and King Streets
- 3rd Street, east side, north of King Street
Kevin Hart at Chase Center

Saturday, Oct. 1: Performance by Kevin Hart to take place at the Chase Center. The show will begin at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
Street Closures
To accommodate events that will take place at the arena, the following street closures will be enforced two hours before and one hour after each event:
- 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
- Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
- Northbound 3rd Street between 16th Street and Warriors Way will also be closed approximately 30 minutes before and 45 minutes after an event.
- Only local access will be allowed on Northbound Illinois Street between Mariposa and 16th streets.
Taxi Stands- There is one taxi stand located on southbound Terry Francois Boulevard.
- Ramp Taxis should use the loading zone on eastbound Warriors Way (formerly South Street) at Bridgeview Way.
Sii Agua Si Ohlone Memorial and Dance Event
Saturday, Oct. 1: The “Sii Agua Si” is an event to activate the Native American Heritage site at Dolores Park and remember the waterways on the 18thStreet/Mission Creek Corridor (between Church and Dolores Streets) via art and cultural activities. Festival will take place between 3 and 9 p.m. on Saturday. For event details, visit dancemissiontheater.org.
A street closure of 18th Street between Church and Dolores streets will be required from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday.
Castro Street Fair
Sunday, Oct. 2: The 48th annual Castro Street Fair will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more details, visit www.castrostreetfair.org.
The following street closures will be required from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m.:
- Market Street between Noe and Eureka streets
- Castro Street between 16th and 18th streets
- 17th Street between Hartford and Market streets
Blessing of the Fishing Fleet
Sunday, Oct. 2: The annual La Madonna de Lume parade and the Blessing of the Fishing Fleet will begin with a procession at 2 p.m. from Saint Peter and Paul’s Church on Washington Square. The procession will proceed to Jefferson Street between Jones and Taylor streets via Columbus Avenue and Leavenworth Street for the blessing celebration at approximately 3 p.m. The parade will consist of about 100 people, two vehicles.
The following street closures will be required:
- 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Filbert Street between Stockton and Powell streets
- 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Jefferson Street between Jones to Taylor streets
