Dreamforce Convention
Monday, Sept. 12, through Sunday, Sept 25: A street closure of Howard Street between 3rd and 4th streets will be required for the Dreamforce Convention beginning at 6 a.m., Monday, Sept. 12, and continuing through 8 p.m., Sunday, Sept 25.
Tuesday, Sept. 20, through Thursday, Sept. 22: The Salesforce Corporation will be holding its yearly Dreamforce Convention at the Moscone Center. Conference hours will be from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day. An attendance of 30,000 is expected at Moscone Center North, South, and West. Significant traffic congestion is anticipated in and around Moscone Center between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily for the duration of the closure, particularly on streets immediately east of 3rd Street and on 4th Street between Market and Howard streets during mornings and afternoons. Travelers are encouraged to take public transportation or use alternate routes. There will be heavy pedestrian traffic in the area.
Howard Street traffic will be detoured via southbound 2nd Street to Harrison Street or via New Montgomery Street to Hawthorne Street to either Folsom or Harrison streets.
Signage will be placed in advance of the street closures and detour routes.
SFMTA Parking Control Officers and San Francisco Police Officers will be deployed at key intersections throughout the closures.
There will be temporary taxi stands for pick up and drop off only:

- Southside of Howard Street (westbound) between 4th and 5th streets
San Francisco Symphony Gala
- Friday, Sept. 23: The San Francisco Symphony’s Opening Night Gala, including a red-carpet welcome leading up to an inspiring concert, followed by a lively outdoor after-party will take place on Friday, Sept. 23. The event will begin at 7 p.m.Street closure of Grove Street between Van Ness Avenue and Franklin Street will be required from 5 a.m. Friday, Sept. 23 through 5 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 24.
San Francisco Giants Baseball Games
- Three games against the Colorado Rockies: 1) 6:45 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 27; 2) 6:45 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 28; and 3) 6:45 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 29.
To accommodate events that will take place at the ballpark, the following street closures will be enforced:
- Two and a half hours before the opening pitch, the SFMTA will close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic. King Street will reopen after first pitch until the seventh inning.
- From the seventh inning until post-game traffic dies down, the SFMTA will again close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic in order to reduce congestion on city streets.
- Additionally, the northbound portion of the 4th Street Bridge (Peter R. Maloney Bridge) will be closed to all traffic except Muni, taxis and bicycles during the post-game period.
- 2nd Street, west side, between Brannan and King Streets
- 2nd Street, east side, between Townsend and King Streets
- 3rd Street, east side, north of King Street
Multiple Events at Chase Center
- Friday, Sept. 23: First Performance by Roger Waters This is Not a Drill. The show will begin at 8 p.m. Doors will open at 7 p.m.
- Saturday, Sept. 24: Second Performance by Roger Waters This is Not a Drill. The show will begin at 8 p.m. Doors will open at 7 p.m.
- Monday, Sept. 26: Performance by Roxy Music. The show will begin at 8 p.m. Doors will open at 7 p.m.
Street Closures
To accommodate events that will take place at the arena, the following street closures will be enforced two hours before and one hour after each event:
- 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
- Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
- Northbound 3rd Street between 16th Street and Warriors Way will also be closed approximately 30 minutes before and 45 minutes after an event.
- Only local access will be allowed on Northbound Illinois Street between Mariposa and 16th streets.
- There is one taxi stand located on southbound Terry Francois Boulevard.
- Ramp Taxis should use the loading zone on eastbound Warriors Way (formerly South Street) at Bridgeview Way.
Portola Music Festival
- On Saturday, Sept. 17, there will be a small music festival and community gathering on the site of the historical Black Hawk Jazz Cafe and the playground across Hyde Street, as well as in the street. The Hyde Street Community Music Program at Demonstration Gardens is sponsoring the Grace Notes Music Festival Summer 2022 in partnership with SEIU Local 87, Friends of Turk & Hyde St, Hyde Street Studios, and Faithful Fools.A closure of Hyde Street between Turk and Eddy streets will be required from 12:30 to 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 17.This event will be repeated on Saturday, Oct. 8.
Folsom Street Fair
Sunday, Sept. 25: The annual Folsom Street Fair will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. An attendance of about 30,000 is expected. For event details visit www.folsomstreet.org.
The following street closures will be required from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m., Sunday:
- Folsom Street between 8th and 13th streets
- 9th Street between Howard and Harrison streets
- 10th Street between Howard and Harrison streets
- 11th Street between Howard and Harrison streets
- 12th Street between Howard and Harrison streets
- All alleys and intersections bounded by 8th, Howard, 13th and Harrison streets
Traffic around the event area will be heavily congested. Motorists are advised to stay away from the event area and areas where street closures are enforced.
For northbound traffic, please use Harrison Street, travel to 13th Street and to Duboce Avenue. For southbound traffic, please use Octavia Boulevard for US101 South Freeway.
For pick up and drop off only, there will be limited number of temporary taxi stands for the event at the following locations:

Cole Valley Fair

Sunday, Sept. 25: The 18th annual Cole Valley Fair will take place on Cole Street between Frederick and Grattan streets and on Parnassus Avenue between Shrader and Belvedere streets. Event hours will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The following street closures will be required from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.:
- Cole Street between Frederick and Grattan streets
- Parnassus Avenue between Belvedere and Shrader streets
- Intersection of Cole Street and Parnassus Avenue
Roadworks Steamroller Printing Festival
Sunday, Sept. 25: The annual Roadworks Steamroller Printing Festival, a day-long public printmaking and book arts extravaganza that includes free hands-on printmaking and book art activities, demonstrations and vendors of arts & crafts. It is a free event and will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 26.
A street closure of Rhode Island between 16th and 17th streets will be closed between approximately 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday.
