Cole Valley Nights – Holiday Street Fair

Thursday, Dec. 5: A new night market, Cole Valley Nights, will take place at Cole and Carl streets, from 4 to 9 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 5.

A street closure of Cole Street from Carl Street to Parnassus Avenue will be required from noon to 11:59 p.m.

Downtown First Thursdays

Thursday, Dec. 5: The Downtown First Thursdays (DFT) event will take place on 2nd Street from 5 to 10 p.m. This event will repeat monthly through April 3, 2025. For event details, visit https://www.dftsf.com/.

The following street closures will be required from noon until midnight, Thursday:

  • 2nd Street between Market and Folsom streets
  • Clementina Street between 2nd and 1st streets
  • Jessie Street between New Montgomery and 2nd streets
  • Minna Street between New Montgomery and 1st streets
  • Natoma Street between New Montgomery and 1st streets
  • Stevenson Street between New Montgomery and 1st streets
  • Tehama Street between Hawthorne and 1st streets

These intersections will remain open at all times: 1) 2nd and Mission streets; 2) 2nd and Howard streets.

Events at Chase Center

Thursday, Dec. 5 through Sunday, Dec. 8: There will be events to take place at the Chase Center:
  • Thursday, Dec. 5: The Warriors will play against the Houston Rockets. Game will start at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
  • Friday, Dec. 6: The Warriors will play against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Game will start at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, Dec. 8: The Warriors will play against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Game will start at 5:30 p.m. Doors will open at 4 p.m.

Street ClosuresTo accommodate events that will take place at the arena, the following street closures will be enforced two hours before and one hour after each event:

  • 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  • Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  • Northbound 3rd Street between 16th Street and Warriors Way will also be closed approximately 30 minutes before and 45 minutes after an event.
  • Only local access will be allowed on Northbound Illinois Street between Mariposa and 16th streets.

Taxi Stands

There is one taxi stand located on southbound Terry Francois Boulevard.
Ramp Taxis should use the loading zone on eastbound Warriors Way at Bridgeview Way.

Cruzada Guadalupana

Saturday, Dec. 7 : La Cruzada Guadalupana Pilgrimage is a yearly event that starts in South San Francisco and proceeds through San Francisco to St. Mary’s Cathedral. The procession will begin at 6 a.m. and is anticipated to reach the San Francisco border with Daly City between 9 and 9:45 a.m. It will then proceed via Mission Street, 14th Street, South Van Ness, Ellis Street, and Gough Street to Geary. The procession will make one stop mid route at the Parish Church of St. John the Evangelist at Mission Street and St Mary’s Avenue. Approximately 30,000 people, 25 horses, and 18 vehicles (includes sound trucks, floats, Red Cross vans, Radio La Raza trucks, water and supply trucks) will be a part of this procession.

Winter Walk SF

Friday, Dec. 13 through Sunday, Dec. 22: Winter Walk, San Francisco’s signature holiday event will return to Union Square area for a 10-day celebration that transforms two blocks of Stockton Street into a festive holiday destination.

This event features elaborate holiday decor, captivating performances, programmed snow, and seasonal offerings of food, drink, activities and shops. For more details of Winter Walk SF, visit visitunionsquaresf.com. Below are event hours during the celebration:

  • Monday to Wednesday, from noon to 7 p.m.
  • Thursday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Sunday, Dec. 8 through Tuesday, Dec. 24: A street closure of Stockton Street between Post and O’Farrell streets will be required from 11:59 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 8 and continuing through 10 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 24.

Dogpatch Winter Market

Saturday, Dec. 7: The inaugural Dogpatch Winter Market will take place, from 11a.m. to 6 p.m.

A street closure of 22nd Street between 3rd and Illinois streets will be required from 7a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday.
