St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Saturday, March 14: The annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on Market Street. For more event details, visit www.stpatricksdayactivities.org .

Starting at 9 a.m. the parade units will gather along 2nd Street between Market and Harrison streets. At 11 a.m. the parade will move west along Market Street to McAllister Street and proceed west to Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place and south to Grove Street where the parade will disband.

To ensure traffic flows on Mission, Howard, Folsom, Harrison, Bryant and Brannan streets, cross traffic will be allowed across the staging area of 2ndStreet until the parade begins.  Traffic along these streets will resume as soon as the parade units pass.

Market Street between 1st and 7th streets will be closed to traffic beginning at 10:30 a.m. There will be no cross traffic along Market Street during the parade which should end by 4 p.m. Streets will reopen as the marchers pass and the streets are cleaned. The reviewing stand will be on Carlton B. Goodlett Place.

Beginning at 9:30 a.m. until the end of parade, Mission Street between 1st and 7th streets will be designated as transit-only street until Market Street reopens.

Taxi Stand

There will be one taxi stand located at 320-398 Golden Gate Avenue, between Larkin Street and Hyde Street.

Events at Chase Center

Friday, March 13 through Sunday, March 15: There will be three events at the Chase Center:
  • Friday, March 13: The Warriors will host a home game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Game will begin at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 14: Ricardo Arjona will perform at the Chase Center. Show will begin at 8 p.m. Doors will open at 7 p.m.
  • Sunday, March 15: Nine Inch Nails will perform at the Chase Center. Show will begin at 8 p.m. Doors will open at 7 p.m.

Street Closures

To accommodate events that will take place at the arena, the following street closures will be enforced two hours before and one hour after each event:

  1. 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  2. Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  3. Northbound 3rd Street between 16th Street and Warriors Way will also be closed approximately 30 minutes before and 45 minutes after the event.

Only local access will be allowed on Northbound Illinois Street between Mariposa and 16th streets.

Taxi Stands

There is one taxi stand located on southbound Terry Francois Boulevard.

Ramp Taxis should use the loading zone on eastbound Warriors Way at Bridgeview Way.

  • 4th Street, which connects to Chase Center via the Gene Friend Way pedestrian path on the UCSF campus.
  • Owens Street, which also connects to Chase Center via the Gene Friend Way pedestrian path on the UCSF campus.
