San Francisco Giants Baseball Games

Monday, March 24 through Tuesday, March 25: The San Francisco Giants will start their first regular home opener and regular season games at the ballpark. Listed below are start times for these games:
  • Two games against the Detroit Tigers: 1) 6:45 p.m., Monday, March 24; and 2)5 p.m., Tuesday, March 25.
Street Closures

To accommodate events that will take place at the ballpark, the following street closures will be enforced:

  • Two and a half hours before the opening pitch, the SFMTA will close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic. King Street will reopen after first pitch until the seventh inning.
  • From the seventh inning until post-game traffic dies down, the SFMTA will again close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic in order to reduce congestion on city streets.
  • Additionally, the northbound portion of the 4th Street Bridge (Peter R. Maloney Bridge) will be closed to all traffic except Muni, taxis and bicycles during the post-game period.
Taxi Stands
  • 2nd Street, west side, between Brannan and King Streets
  • 2nd Street, east side, between Townsend and King Streets
  • 3rd Street, east side, north of King Street

Tulip Day


Saturday, March 22: Tulip Day, an annual event where Union Square Plaza gets blanketed with more than 80,000 tulips in partnership with the Dutch Consulate, City of San Francisco and the Alliance. Event will take place from noon to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 22. An attendance of 30,000 is expected. For more event details, visit https://flowerbulbday.com .

Castro Night Market


Friday, March 21
: The Castro Night Market will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. on 18thand Castro streets. For more details, visit castro-night-market.The following street and parking lot closures will be required from noon to midnight, Friday:
  • 18th Street between Collingwood and Hartford streets
  • The SFMTA parking lot behind Walgreens

Events at Chase Center

Thursday, March 20 to Saturday, March 22: There will be multiple Warriors games to take place at the Chase Center:
  • Thursday, March 20: The Warriors will play against the Toronto Raptors. Game will start at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 22: Performance by G.E.M. will take place. Performance will start at 8 p.m. Doors will open at 7 p.m.

Street Closures

To accommodate events that will take place at the arena, the following street closures will be enforced two hours before and one hour after each event:

  • 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  • Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  • Northbound 3rd Street between 16th Street and Warriors Way will also be closed approximately 30 minutes before and 45 minutes after an event.
  • Only local access will be allowed

Taxi Stands

There is one taxi stand located on southbound Terry Francois Boulevard.

Ramp Taxis should use the loading zone on eastbound Warriors Way at Bridgeview Way.
