Carnaval Festival and Grand Parade

• Saturday, May 24 and Sunday, May 25: A free two–day festival will take place in the Mission District along Harrison Street between 16^th and 24^th streets. Event hours will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. For more event details, visit carnavalsanfrancisco.org.The following street closures will be required:From 4 p.m., Friday, May 23 to 2 a.m., Monday, May 26:
  • Harrison Street between 16^th and 17^th streets
  • Harrison Street between 21^st and 22^nd streets
  • 20^th Street between Harrison Street and Treat Avenue
  • 21^st Street between Harrison and Alabama streets

  From 7 p.m., Friday, May 23 to 2 a.m., Monday, May 26:

  • Harrison Street between 16^th and 24^th streets
  • Alabama Street (west side only) between 16^th and 24^th streets
  • 17^th Street between Folsom and Alabama streets
  • 18^th Street between Folsom and Alabama streets
  • 19^th Street between Folsom and Alabama streets
  • 20^th Street between Folsom and Alabama streets
  • 21^st Street between Folsom and Alabama streets
  • 22^nd Street between Treat and Alabama streets
  • 23^rd Street between Treat and Alabama streets
  • Mariposa Street between Harrison and Alabama streets
  • Treat Avenue between 16^th and 21^st streets

  • Intersection will be closed:
    • 17^th, Mariposa, 18^th, 19^th, Mistral, 20^th, 21^st, 22^nd, 23^rd streets at Harrison Street
    • 17^th, 18^th, 19^th and Mistral streets at Treat Avenue

  On Sunday, May 25, the Carnaval Grand Parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. The staging area for the parade will be on Bryant Street between 17^th and Cesar Chavez streets and on 24^th Street between Harrison and York streets. Assembly for the parade will begin at 5 a.m. and the parade will finish approximately at 4 p.m.

  The parade will proceed west on 24^th Street from Harrison Street, north on Mission Street and east on 15^th Street to the dispersal area along Harrison and Alameda streets between 16^th and Division streets. 16^th Street will remain open to traffic, however, motorists may experience significant delay and should allow extra travel time.

  Taxi Stand Location: Alabama Street between 16^th and 17^th streets on the east side.

  Cross traffic along Bryant Street, where parade staging will take place, will be allowed until 9 a.m.

  The City will open streets to traffic as the end of the parade passes each intersection of the route.

Concert at Oracle Park

  To accommodate events that will take place at the ballpark, the following street closures will be enforced: 
  • Two and a half hours before the opening of event, the SFMTA will close eastbound King Street between 3^rd and 2^nd streets to vehicle traffic.
  • Until post-event traffic dies down, the SFMTA will again close eastbound King Street between 3^rdand 2^nd streets to vehicle traffic in order to reduce congestion on city streets.
  • Additionally, the northbound portion of the 4th Street Bridge (Peter R. Maloney Bridge) will be closed to all traffic except Muni, taxis and bicycles during the post-game period.
