Dreamforce Convention
Effective through Sunday, Sept 17: A street closure of Howard Street between 3rd and 4th streets will be required for the Dreamforce Convention.
Tuesday, Sept. 12 through Thursday, Sept 14: The Salesforce Corporation will be holding its yearly Dreamforce Convention at the Moscone Center. Conference hours will be from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day. Registration will begin at 6 a.m., Monday, Sept. 11. An attendance of approximately 30,000 to 35,000 is expected at Moscone Center North, South and West. For more event details, visithttps://www.salesforce.com/dreamforce/.
Significant traffic congestion is anticipated in and around Moscone Center between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily for the duration of the closure, particularly on streets immediately east of 3rd Street and on 4th Street between Market and Howard streets during mornings and afternoons. Travelers are encouraged to take public transportation or use alternate routes. There will be heavy pedestrian traffic in the area.
Howard Street traffic will be detoured via southbound 2nd Street to Harrison Street, or via New Montgomery Street to Hawthorne Street to either Folsom or Harrison streets.
In addition to the full closure of Howard Street between 3rd and 4th streets, there will be lane closures on Folsom, Howard, 3rd and 4th streets.
There will be temporary taxi stands for pick up and drop off only:
- Eastside of Third Street (northbound) between Howard and Minna streets
- Southside of Howard Street (westbound) between 4th and 5th streets
Events at Chase Center
Street Closures
To accommodate events that will take place at the arena, the following street closures will be enforced two hours before and one hour after each event:
- 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
- Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
- Northbound 3rd Street between 16th Street and Warriors Way will also be closed approximately 30 minutes before and 45 minutes after an event.
- Only local access will be allowed on Northbound Illinois Street between Mariposa and 16th streets.
There is one taxi stand located on southbound Terry Francois Boulevard.
Ramp Taxis should use the loading zone on eastbound Warriors Way at Bridgeview Way.
Fiestas de las Americas
Saturday Sept. 16: The celebration of Latin American countries commemorating culture, arts and music that will include the Low Riders in the Mission will take place on 24th Street from South Van Ness Avenue to Bryant Street from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The following street closures will be required from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday Sept. 16.
- 24th Street between South Van Ness Avenue and Bryant Street
- Shotwell Street between 23rd and 25th streets
- Lucky Street between 24th and 25th streets
- Treat Street between 23rd and 25th streets
- Balmy Street between 24th and 25th streets
- Harrison Street between 23rd and 25th streets
- Alabama Street between 23rd and 25th streets
- Florida Street between 23rd and 25th streets
Intersection(s) closed : Shotwell, Lucky, Treat, Balmy, Harrison, Alabama and Florida at 24th Street.
Balboa Village Art Walk
Saturday Sept. 16: Art Walk SF will hold a community event to showcase the art, music and culture of San Francisco on Balboa Street from 35th Avenue to 39th Avenue.
The following street closures will be required from 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Balboa Street from 35th Avenue to 39th Avenue
- 37th Avenue from Cabrillo Street to Anza Street
Haight-Ashbury Street Fair
The following street closures will be required from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Haight Street between Masonic Avenue to Stanyan Street
- Ashbury Street between Page Street to Waller Street
- Clayton Street between Page Street to Waller Street
- Belvedere Street between Waller Street to Haight Street
- Cole Street between Page Street to Waller Street
- Shrader Street between Waller Street to Page Street
- 1200-1206 Masonic Avenue at Haight Street
Leather Walk and Leather Pride Fest
Sunday Sept. 17: The Leather Walk will begin at 11:00 a.m. from the Polk Street steps of San Francisco City Hall and proceed on Polk Street to Market Street, down Market Street to 11 Street, down 11th Street to Folsom Street, before taking 8th Street to Harrison Street.
