Dead and Company Concert
Friday, Aug. 1 through Sunday, Aug. 3: Celebrating 60 Years of The Grateful Dead’s Music will be held in Golden Gate Park. Concert will be from 4 p.m. to approximately 10 p.m. each day, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Attendance of over 60,000 participants is expected over the course of the weekend. Taxi
Temporary taxi stands for the event will be in place at the following locations from 9 a.m., Friday to 2 a.m., Monday:
- Irving Street between 26th and 27th avenues. (Taxi Zone)
- Fulton Street between 24th and 25th avenues. (Taxi Zone)
- Fulton Street between 28th and 29th avenues. (Taxi Zone)
- Larkin Street. between Hayes and Grove streets. (Taxi Shuttle Service to Festival)
Larkin Street Roadway Shared Space
Saturday, Aug. 2: The Tenderloin Lower Polk Merchants and Property Owners Association will host their monthly Roadway Shared Space on Larkin Street.
Larkin Street between Eddy and O’Farrell streets will be closed from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 2.
These closures will occur on the second Saturday of every month through Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025. For details visit www.tlmpa.org.
Lower Haight Summer Art Walk
Saturday, Aug. 2: The Lower Haight Merchants and Neighbors Association will hold an event to celebrate local artists, highlight merchants and there will be multiple stages with live music from 2 to 8 p.m. For details of event visit: https://lowerhaight.org/artwalk.
Haight Street between Pierce and Webster streets will be closed from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 2.
Nihonmachi Street Fair
Saturday, Aug. 2 and Sunday, Aug. 3: The 51st annual Nihonmachi Street Fair will take place in and around Japan town from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.

The following street closure will be required from 5 a.m., Saturday to 9 p.m., Sunday:
- Post Street between Fillmore and Laguna streets
- Webster Street between Sutter Street and Geary Boulevard

Taxi Stands
There is one taxi stand located on 1800 Sutter Street, two spots, northwest of Buchanan Street.
Event at Chase Center
Tuesday, Aug. 5 through Wednesday, Aug. 6: There will be two events to be held at the Chase Center:
- Tuesday, Aug. 5: Performance by The Lumineers will take place. The concert will start at 7:30 p.m. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, Aug. 6: The Golden State Valkyries will play against the Las Vegas Aces at the Chase Center. The game will start at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
Street Closures
To accommodate events that will take place at the arena, the following street closures will be enforced two hours before and one hour after each event:
- 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
- Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
- Northbound 3rd Street between 16th Street and Warriors Way will also be closed approximately 30 minutes before and 45 minutes after an event.
- Only local access will be allowed on Northbound Illinois Street between Mariposa and 16th streets.
Taxi Stands
There is one taxi stand located on southbound Terry Francois Boulevard.
Ramp Taxis should use the loading zone on eastbound Warriors Way at Bridgeview Way.
