Dreamforce Convention

Sunday, Oct. 5, through Sunday, Oct. 19: Howard Street between 3rd and 4th streets will be closed for the Dreamforce Convention beginning at midnight, Sunday, Oct. 5, and continuing through 10 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 19.

From Sunday, Oct. 5, through Sunday, Oct. 19, Howard Street traffic will be detoured via southbound 2nd Street to Harrison Street, or via New Montgomery Street to Hawthorne Street to either Folsom or Harrison streets.

There will be temporary taxi stands for pick up and drop off only:

  • White Zone at W Hotel, north side of Howard Street between 3rd Street and Hawthorne Street
  • White Zone at Intercontinental, north side of Howard Street at 5th Street
  • Southside of Howard Street (westbound) between 4th and 5th streets

Lower Polk Live!

Friday, Oct. 17: Lower Polk Live! is a new neighborhood celebration that brings together music, art and community right on Polk Street. This free event will take place on Polk Street between Bush and Sutter streets, from 4 to 9 p.m. For event details visit https://discoverpolk.org.

The following street closures will be required from noon to 10 p.m., Friday, Oct. 17:

  • Polk Street between Bush and Sutter streets
  • Fern Street between Van Ness Avenue and Larkin Street

Events at Chase Center

Friday, Oct. 17 through Saturday, Oct. 18: There will be multiple events to be held at the Chase Center:
  • Friday, Oct. 17: The Warriors will host a pre-season game against the LA Clippers. Game will begin at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 18: Concert performance by Maroon 5 will take place. The show will start at 8 p.m. Doors will open at 7 p.m.

Street Closures

To accommodate events that will take place at the arena, the following street closures will be enforced two hours before and one hour after each event:

  1. 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  2. Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  3. Northbound 3rd Street between 16th Street and Warriors Way will also be closed approximately 30 minutes before and 45 minutes after the event.

Only local access will be allowed on Northbound Illinois Street between Mariposa and 16th streets.

 

Taxi Stands

There is one taxi stand located on southbound Terry Francois Boulevard.

Ramp Taxis should use the loading zone on eastbound Warriors Way at Bridgeview Way.

No Kings Rally

Saturday, Oct. 18: A march will take place from Embarcadero Plaza up Market Street to Civic Center Plaza. For more details, visit https://indivisiblesf.org.

Heavy traffic and congestion are anticipated, particularly in areas north of Market Street and east of Van Ness Avenue. Transit delays along the Market and Mission transit corridors should also be expected. Use of Muni Metro for transit to and from downtown is recommended.

Potrero Hill Festival

Saturday, Oct. 18: The annual Potrero Hill Festival will take place in the Potrero Hill neighborhood from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on 20th Street between Wisconsin and Missouri streets. An attendance of 3,000 is expected. For event details, visit potrerofestival.com.

The following street closures will be required from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.:

  • 20th Street between Wisconsin and Missouri streets
  • Connecticut Street between 19th Street and the southerly terminal
  • Missouri Street between 19th and 20th streets
  • Intersection:  Connecticut and Missouri streets at 20th Street

Clement Street Art Fair

Saturday, Oct. 18: The Clement Street Art Fair, a fun-filled day of lively music, local makers, and great community, will offer a festive fall afternoon filled with creativity, community, and entertainment. The event will take place on Clement Street between 6th and 8th avenues from noon to 5 p.m.

The following street closures will be required from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.:

  • Clement Street between 6th and 8th avenues
  • 7th Avenue between Geary Boulevard and California Street

Bearrison Street Fair

Saturday, Oct. 18: The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and the Bears of San Francisco will be holding the third annual Bearrison Street Fair. The event will be held from noon to 6 p.m., primarily on Harrison Street between 10th and 13th streets. Expected attendance is 2,500. For more details visit https://www.bearrison.org/ .

The following street closures will take effect from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday:

  • Harrison Street between 10th and 13th streets
  • 11th Street between Folsom and Division streets
  • 12th Street between Bernice and Harrison streets

Taxi Stands

There is one temporary taxi stand located on the 390-398 block of 10th Street at Harrison Street for pick-up and drop-off only

Sunday Streets Excelsior

Sunday, Oct. 19: The Sunday Streets event will be held in the Excelsior neighborhood. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is put on by Livable City with sponsorship and support from SFMTA and other City agencies to promote active lifestyles and bicycle and pedestrian activities. These events will close streets to automobile traffic and turn them over for bicycle and pedestrian activities. For event details, visit: www.sundaystreetssf.com/excelsior.

The following streets will be required from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.:

  • Mission Street between Theresa Street and Geneva Avenue
  • Cotter Street between Mission Street and Alemany Boulevard

  • Santa Rosa Avenue between Mission Street and Alemany Boulevard
  • Onondaga Avenue between Mission Street and Alemany Boulevard
  • Seneca Avenue between Mission Street and Alemany Boulevard
  • Ocean Avenue between Persia Avenue and Mission Street
The following Intersections will be closed from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.:
  • Amazon Avenue at Mission Street
  • Seneca Avenue at Mission Street
  • Italy Avenue at Mission Street (local access for Safeway parking lot only)
  • France Avenue at Mission Street
  • Onondaga Avenue at Mission Street
  • Russia Avenue at Mission Street
  • Leo Street at Mission Street
  • Ruth Street at Mission Street
  • Persia Avenue at Mission Street
  • San Juan Avenue at Mission Street
  • Norton Street at Mission Street

Top of the Hill Festival

Saturday, Oct. 18: The 2nd annual top of the Hill Festival will take place at the top of the Hill Daly City area from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. This event is sponsored by the City of Daly City’s Economic and Community Development Department.

The following street closures will be required from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 18:

  • Mission Street between Bepler Street and Vista Grande Avenue
  • John Daly Boulevard between Santa Barbara Avenue and Mission Street
  • Theta Ave between Santa Barbara Avenue and Mission Street
  • Vista Grande Avenue between Santa Barbara Avenue and Mission Street
  • Hillside Boulevard between Mission Brunswick streets
  • Wellington Avenue between Mission and Irvington streets
  • Intersection: Mission Street & John Daly Bouldvard
  • Frontage Street, next to Mission Street between San Jose and Crocker avenues
