Downtown First Thursdays

Thursday, April 2: The Downtown First Thursdays (DFT) event will take place on 2nd Street from 5 to 10 p.m. This is a free monthly street party that takes place on every first Thursday of the month. For more details, visit www.dftsf.com.

The following street closures will be required from noon until midnight, Thursday:

  • 2nd Street between Market and Folsom streets
  • Clementina Street between 2nd and 1st streets
  • Jessie Street between New Montgomery and 2nd streets
  • Minna Street between New Montgomery and 1st streets
  • Natoma Street between New Montgomery and 1st streets
  • Stevenson Street between New Montgomery and 1st streets
  • Tehama Street between Hawthorne and 1st streets

These intersections will remain open at all times: 1) 2nd and Mission streets; 2) 2nd and Howard streets.

Events at Chase Center

Thursday, April 2 through Tuesday, April 7: There will be basketball games at the Chase Center:
  • Thursday, April 2: The Warriors will host a home game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Game will begin at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, April 5: The Warriors will host a home game against the Houston Rockets. Game will begin at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, April 7: The Warriors will host a home game against the Sacramento Kings. Game will begin at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

Street Closures

To accommodate events that will take place at the arena, the following street closures will be enforced two hours before and one hour after each event:

  1. 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  2. Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  3. Northbound 3rd Street between 16th Street and Warriors Way will also be closed approximately 30 minutes before and 45 minutes after the event.

Only local access will be allowed on Northbound Illinois Street between Mariposa and 16th streets.

 

Taxi Stands

There is one taxi stand located on southbound Terry Francois Boulevard.

Ramp Taxis should use the loading zone on eastbound Warriors Way at Bridgeview Way.

San Francisco Giants Games

Thursday, April 2 through Wednesday, April 8: The San Francisco Giants will play seven games at the ballpark. Listed below are the start time for these games:
  • Four games against the New York Mets: 1) 6:45 p.m., Thursday, April 2; 2) 7:15 p.m., Friday, April 3; 3) 6:05 p.m., Saturday, April 4; and 4) 1:05 p.m., Sunday, April 5.
  • Three games against the Philadelphia Phillies: 1) 6:45 p.m., Monday, April 6; 2) 6:45 p.m., Tuesday, April 7; and 3) 12:45 p.m., Wednesday, April 8.

Street Closures

To accommodate events that will take place at the ballpark, the following street closures will be enforced:

  • Two and a half hours before the opening pitch, the SFMTA will close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic. King Street will reopen after first pitch until the seventh inning.
  • From the seventh inning until post-game traffic dies down, the SFMTA will again close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic in order to reduce congestion on city streets.
  • Additionally, the northbound portion of the 4th Street Bridge (Peter R. Maloney Bridge) will be closed to all traffic except Muni, taxis and bicycles during the post-game period.

  • 2nd Street, west side, between Brannan and King Streets
  • 2nd Street, east side, between Townsend and King Streets
  • 3rd Street, east side, north of King Street

Easter Sunrise on Mount Davidson

Sunday, April 5: The annual Easter Sunrise Service at Mount Davidson Cross will begin at 6:30 a.m
