Dreamfest

Starting Saturday, September 22, there will be a rolling series of street closures around the Civic Center area to prepare for the Dreamfest event. See more details below.

Wednesday, September 26: The Dreamforce convention gala and benefit concert for UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals will be held at City Hall and Civic Center Plaza, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Attendance of 27,000 is expected for the concerts featuring Metallica and MC Hammer

Starting at 7 a.m., Saturday, September 22, a rolling series of closures will be required in the area, beginning with Fulton Street between Larkin and Hyde streets on and expanding to include Larkin, Grove streets and Dr. Carlton B Goodlett Place.

The following street closures will be required:

7 a.m., Saturday, September 22 to 7 p.m., Saturday, September 29:
- Fulton Street between Larkin and Hyde streets
- Larkin Street (easternmost northbound lane only) between Hayes and McAllister streets

7 a.m., Sunday, September 23 to 7 a.m., Saturday, September 29:
- Grove Street between Polk and Larkin streets
7 p.m., Tuesday, September 25 to 8 a.m., Thursday, September 27:
- Larkin Street between Hayes and McAllister streets
- Grove Street between Van Ness Avenue and Polk Street
- Grove Street between Larkin and Hyde streets
7 p.m., Tuesday, September 25 to Noon, Thursday, September 27:
- Tom Waddell Place between Van Ness Avenue and Polk Street*

*Note: Local access will be allowed

Dreamforce Convention : Temp Taxi stands

Wednesday, September 19, through Saturday, September 29: A street closure of Howard Street between 3rd and 4th streets will be required for the Dreamforce Convention beginning at 8 p.m., Wednesday, September 19 and continuing through 8 p.m., Saturday, September 29.

Tuesday, September 25 through Friday, September 28: The Salesforce Corporation will be holding its yearly Dreamforce Convention at the Moscone Center. Conference hours will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., each day. An attendance of 60,000 is expected to attend workshops and product demonstrations at Moscone Center North, South and West.

Significant traffic congestion is anticipated in and around Moscone Center between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily for the duration of the closure.

Howard Street traffic will be detoured via southbound 2nd Street to Harrison Street, or via New Montgomery Street to Hawthorne Street to either Folsom or Harrison streets.

There will be temporary taxi stands for pick up and drop off only:

Eastside of Third Street (northbound) between Howard and Minna streets
Southside of Howard Street (westbound) between 4th and 5th streets

Sunday Streets – Tenderloin

Sunday, September 23: The ninth Sunday Streets event will take place in the Civic Center and Tenderloin neighborhoods. This event route, travels along Fulton Street, Ellis Street, Golden Gate Avenue, Jones, Turk and Larkin streets. The route will be available for recreational activities from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free to all participants.
