Folsom Street Fair

Sunday, Sept. 26: The annual Folsom Street Fair will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Attendance is expected to be significantly lower than in past years, with about 30,000 anticipated over the course of the day. For event details visit https://www.folsomstreet.org/megahood2021.

The following street closures will be required from 3 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday:

  • Folsom Street between 8th and 13th streets
  • 9th Street between Howard and Harrison streets
  • 10th Street between Howard and Harrison streets
  • 11th Street between Howard and Harrison streets
  • 12th Street between Howard and Harrison streets
  • All alleys and intersections bounded by 8th, Howard, 13th and Harrison streets

For northbound traffic, please use Harrison Street, travel to 13th Street and to Duboce Avenue. For southbound traffic, please use Octavia Boulevard for US101 South Freeway.For pick up and drop off only, there will be limited number of temporary taxi stands for the event on both north west and south west side of 8th and Folsom streets.

San Francisco Giants Baseball Game

Tuesday, Sept. 28 through Thursday, Sept. 30: The San Francisco Giants will play three home games against the Arizona Diamondbacks at the ballpark. Listed below are start times for these games: 1) 6:45 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 28; 2) 6:45 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 29; and 3) 6:45 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 30.

Street Closures

To accommodate events that will take place at the ballpark, the following street closures will be enforced:

  • Two and a half hours before the opening pitch, the SFMTA will close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic. King Street will reopen after first pitch until the seventh inning.
  • From the seventh inning until post-game traffic dies down, the SFMTA will again close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic in order to reduce congestion on city streets.
  • Additionally, the northbound portion of the 4th Street Bridge (Peter R. Maloney Bridge) will be closed to all traffic except Muni, taxis and bicycles during the post-game period.
Taxi Stands
  • 2nd Street, west side, between Brannan and King Streets
  • 2nd Street, east side, between Townsend and King Streets
  • 3rd Street, east side, north of King Street

Events at Chase Center

uesday, Sept. 28: The Gold Over America Tour starring Simone Biles, a dynamic celebration of powerful female athletes who have united to represent women’s gymnastics and inspire the next generation of female athletes, will take place at the Chase Center. Wednesday, Sept. 29: Michael Bublé, a Canadian-Italian singer, will be performing at the Chase Center. Show will begin at 8 p.m. Doors will open at 7 p.m. For event information, visit www.chasecenter.com/events/michael-buble.

Street Closures

To accommodate events that will take place at the arena, the following street closures will be enforced two hours before and one hour after each event:

  • 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  • Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  • Northbound 3rd Street between 16th Street and Warriors Way will also be closed approximately 30 minutes before an event ends and 45 minutes after an event ends.
  • Only local access will be allowed on Northbound Illinois Street between Mariposa and 16th streets.
Taxi Stands
  • There is one taxi stand located on southbound Terry Francois Boulevard.
  • Ramp Taxis should use the loading zone on eastbound Warriors Way (formerly South Street) at Bridgeview Way.
