Chinese New Year Flower Fair

Saturday, Feb. 14 and Sunday, Feb. 15: The Chinese New Year Flower Fair will be held this weekend. The street fair will take place along Grant Avenue between Clay and Broadway streets from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. The following street closures will be required for the event from 11 p.m., Friday, Feb. 13 to 11 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 15:

  • Grant Avenue between California Street and Broadway
  • Pacific Avenue between Columbus Avenue and Stockton Street
  • Jackson Street between Stockton and Kearny streets
  • Washington Street between Stockton and Kearny streets
  • Intersections at Grant Avenue: Jackson Street, Washington Street and Pacific Street
  • All alleys in the area bounded by California Street, Stockton Street, Broadway and Kearny Street

Black History Month Parade

Saturday, Feb. 14: Rev. Burch will host a Black History Month Parade and Celebration. The event is to let students know the importance of Black History and build positive relationships in the Bayview Community.

The parade will stage on Oakdale Avenue, east of 3rd Street, starting at 9 a.m. Parade will start at 11 a.m., proceeding in the easternmost lane on northbound 3rd Street to Evans Avenue. Parade will begin at 11 a.m. from 3rd Street and Oakdale Avenue, north on 3rd Street to Evans Avenue, turn back at Newhall Street into the parking lot of Southeast Community Center where the parade to disband.

There is no planned street closure.

Events at Chase Center

Wednesday, Feb. 18: Chase Center will be the venue for the West Coast Conference showdown with a game between the University of San Francisco (USF) Dons and the Gonzaga Bulldogs. The game will start at 8 p.m. and will air live on ESPN. Doors will open at 7 p.m.

Street Closures

To accommodate events that will take place at the arena, the following street closures will be enforced two hours before and one hour after each event:

  1. 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  2. Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  3. Northbound 3rd Street between 16th Street and Warriors Way will also be closed approximately 30 minutes before and 45 minutes after the event.
Only local access will be allowed on Northbound Illinois Street between Mariposa and 16th streets.

Taxi Stands

There is one taxi stand located on southbound Terry Francois Boulevard.

Ramp Taxis should use the loading zone on eastbound Warriors Way at Bridgeview Way.

Other pickup/drop-off locations near Chase Center

  • 4th Street, which connects to Chase Center via the Gene Friend Way pedestrian path on the UCSF campus.
  • Owens Street, which also connects to Chase Center via the Gene Friend Way pedestrian path on the UCSF campus.
