Events at Chase Center

Thursday, Sept. 18 through Wednesday, Sept. 24: There will be multiple events to be held at the Chase Center:
  • Thursday, Sept. 18: The Laver Cup 2025: Open Practice Day will take place. The event will start at noon. Doors will open at 11 a.m.
  • Friday, Sept. 19: The Laver Cup 2025: Session 1 will take place. The event will start at 1 p.m. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m.
  • Friday, Sept. 19: The Laver Cup 2025: Session 2 will take place. The event will start at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Sept. 20: The Laver Cup 2025: Session 3 will take place. The event will start at 1 p.m. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m.
  • Saturday, Sept. 20: The Laver Cup 2025: Session 4 will take place. The event will start at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, Sept. 21: The Laver Cup 2025: Session 5 will take place. The event will start at noon. Doors will open at 10:30 a.m.
  • Wednesday, Sept. 24: Concert performance by Tate McRae will take place. The show will start at 7:30 p.m. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

Street Closures

To accommodate events that will take place at the arena, the following street closures will be enforced two hours before and one hour after each event:

  1. 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  2. Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  3. Northbound 3rd Street between 16th Street and Warriors Way will also be closed approximately 30 minutes before and 45 minutes after the event.

Only local access will be allowed on Northbound Illinois Street between Mariposa and 16th streets.

Taxi Stands

 

There is one taxi stand located on southbound Terry Francois Boulevard.

Ramp Taxis should use the loading zone on eastbound Warriors Way at Bridgeview Way.

Castro Night Market

Friday, Sept. 19: The Castro Night Market will take place from 5 to 10 p.m. on 18th and Castro streets. For more details, visit castro-night-market. This event reoccurs on the third Friday of every month.

The following street and parking lot closures will be required from noon to midnight, Friday, Sept. 19:

  • 18th Street between Collingwood and Hartford streets
  • The SFMTA parking lot behind Walgreens
The intersection of 18th and Castro streets will remain open at all times.

Heart of the Richmond District Night Market

Saturday, Sept.20: The Heart of the Richmond District Night Market, the last of a series of four family-friendly night markets will take place in the Richmond District on Saturday, from 4 to 8 p.m.

Clement Street between 22nd and 25th avenues will be closed from Noon to 10 p.m., Saturday. All intersections will remain open.

Portola Music Festival

Saturday, Sept. 20 and Sunday, Sept. 21: Portola Music Festival is a 2-day music festival taking place at Pier 80. Concerts will be on four stages from 1 to 11 p.m., each day, Saturday and Sunday. Expected attendance is 45,000 participants. For event details visit portolamusicfestival.com.

The following street closures will be required:

From 7 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 20, to 1 a.m., Monday, Sept. 22

  • Cesar Chavez Street between 3rd Street and eastern terminus
  • Marin Street between 3rd Street and eastern terminus
  • Michigan Street between Cesar Chavez and Marin streets
  • Illinois Street between Amador and 24th streets
  • 25th Street between 3rd and Michigan streets (only Muni buses will be allowed)
8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 20 to 1 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 21; and
8 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 21, to 1 a.m., Monday, Sept. 22
  • 3rd Street between Cargo Way and 23rd Street (only Muni buses will be allowed)
  • Cesar Chavez Street between Minnesota and 3rd streets
  • 23rd and 24th streets between 3rd and Illinois streets
  • Illinois Street between 22nd and 24th streets

Temporary Taxi Stand

There will be temporary taxi stand on Cesar Chavez Street, north side, between Minnesota and Tennessee streets.

Muni Heritage Day 2025

Saturday, Sept. 20 and Sunday, Sept. 21: The annual celebration of Muni Heritage Day held jointly by the SFMTA and the Market Street Railway, non-profit partner that supports the preservation of Muni’s historic vehicle fleet, will take place at Steuart Street and Don Chee Way. Festivities will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Exhibits on Muni history and activities for all ages will be held on the plaza outside the SF Railway Museum and entry to the museum will be free during the event.

San Francisco Lowriders King of the Streets

Saturday, Sept. 20: The San Francisco Lowriders Council will host the King of the Streets lowrider car show and cruise along Mission Street and through the local area. Lowriders will gather at 4 p.m. on Mission Street between Cesar Chavez and 22nd streets. This year, the event will be broadcasted by KPIX.

Travelers heading through or near the event area should allow extra travel time, should expect heavy traffic and possible street closures around the event area during the event hours between 1 and 8 p.m.

  • Mission between 20th and Cesar Chavez streets
  • 24th St between Valencia and Capp streets
To facilitate the broadcast and a car hopping event, the following street closures will be required from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20:
  • 24th Street between Capp and Valencia streets
  • Lilac Street between 24th and 25th streets
  • Intersections closed: 24th Street at Orange Alley, Barlett, Osage and Lilac streets

SF Eagle Pride on The Plaza

Sunday, Sept. 21: The “SF Eagle Pride on The Plaza” will take place on 12thStreet. The event will begin from noon to 7 p.m. on Sunday. For more details, visit sf-eagle.com/pride-on-the-plaza.

The following street closures will be required from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 21:

  • Harrison Street between 11th and 13th streets
  • 12th Street between Bernice and Harrison streets
  • Norfolk Street between Folsom and Harrison streets
  • Intersections closed:
    • Harrison Street at 12th Street
    • Harrison Street at Norfolk Street

Leather Pride Festival and Leather Walk

Sunday, Sept. 21: The annual Leather Pride Festival and Leather Walk will be held on Sunday, Sept. 21. The Leather Walk is scheduled to depart City Hall at 11:30 a.m. and arrive at the Leather Pride Fest at 2:30 p.m. For more event details, visit https://sfleatherdistrict.org.

The following streets closures will be required from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 21:

  • Harrison Street between 11th and 13th streets
  • 12th Street between Folsom and Harrison streets
  • Alleys and minor streets bordering Folsom, 11th, Harrison, and 13th (Division) streets

San Francisco Giants Baseball Games

Monday, Sept. 22 through Wednesday, Sept. 24: The San Francisco Giants will play three games at the ballpark. Listed below are the start time for these games:
  • Three games against the St. Louis Cardinals: 1) 6:45 p.m., Monday, Sept. 22; 2) 6:45 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 23; and 3) 6:45 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 24.

Street Closures

To accommodate events that will take place at the ballpark, the following street closures will be enforced:

  • Two and a half hours before the opening pitch, the SFMTA will close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic. King Street will reopen after the first pitch until the seventh inning.
  • From the seventh inning until post-game traffic dies down, the SFMTA will again close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic in order to reduce congestion on city streets.
  • Additionally, the northbound portion of the 4th Street Bridge (Peter R. Maloney Bridge) will be closed to all traffic except Muni, taxis and bicycles during the post-game period.
Taxi Stands
  • 2nd Street, west side, between Brannan and King Streets
  • 2nd Street, east side, between Townsend and King Streets
  • 3rd Street, west side, north of King Street
